    Cockpit Scupper Access

I did this job about a year and half ago. I put the access holes in front of the swim ladder on the starboard side and on the port side centered. I used 8" Beckson plates, screw in, that I got from LFS Marine. I bought the new style cockpit drains from Vero Beach Grady. My original drains...

    Small plastic drain end

I asked the same question of Grady. This is their response The fitting in the photo is a 3/8” impact drain and our GW part # is 11-378 and your GW dealer should have some in stock. Hope this helps. Kind Regards, Carolyn Ray Customer Relations Grady White Boats 252-830-8600

    Interior lighting LED options

Maybe there was a change between 2005 and 2007. On the starboard side there is one outside of the head door facing the galley and one on the forward head wall facing toward the the bow.

    Interior lighting LED options

Make sure you do a a correct count. I think there are 5 lights in the Marlin. Two on port side. Two on starboard, one facing toward bunk and one facing galley. And a fifth in the after berth. Also, I replaced my head light with a led white and red dome light as part to the replacement of all...

Defender is running a sale on lighting this weekend. For those of us with pre LED lit boats, this can be a great deal. On my Marlin I replaced all the interior reading lights with Scandvik LED reading lights and saved, pardon the pun, a boat load of money. Cabin is much cooler, lights are new...

Ring Free or not on new engines?

With my old engines I was a religious use of Ring Free. I replaced them with brand new 300 hp Yamahas. My question is, do I still use Ring Free with brand new engines or is there an hour threshold to cross before using?

    Yamaha gauge refurbished ?

Gauge Saver was great. I refurbished my gauges, and then when I installed new engines and gauges they paid me top dollar for the refurbished gauges.

    Marlin 30 owners

I have a 2005 Marlin and just repowered from 225 Yamahas to 300. The Marlin is a very solid boat that is very comfortable in all respects. A number of years ago we were out with our then young children and a whiteout rain storm hit. The kids were comfortable in the cabin with the ac running...
