If they are over 5 years old, I'm with parthery and have done so on my boat. Buy the 3-year warranty and put a note on your calendar 2 years and 11 months out to check to see if it still works perfectly.

Are you sure you don't have additional fuel filters buried in there somewhere? Very surprised - even my 2001 had them from the factory. I did replace the factory mounts with SS and put in some nice fuel/water separator Racors. Mine are mounted to the transom, high and inside the rear corners...
