    232 Anchor rode capacity?

I'm surprised. Unless you put it back neatly or Windlass....I'm guessing it will be a tight fit if you deploy the entire 600'. Good luck!

Anyone had experience with Norfolk Marine service?

Bought a Gulfstream from them 7 years ago.....over the phone. If it's under same ownership....thumbs up!

    I fixed my macerator!

Should extend the life. After discharging, fill up with freshwater through pumpout flush deck port. Then discharge with freshwater.....removes all internal seawater and remaining waste. I do this everytime and takes a whopping 4 minutes.

Concerned about F225 exhaust corrosion and oil seal problem

Re: Concerned about F225 exhaust corrosion and oil seal prob Yes, the problem does exist on older model 225's although is half of the magnitude people describe this on other websites. I had a certified Yamaha mechanic go over mine with a fine tooth comb and never suggested corrosion was...

    Need Help 290 or Marlin

I'm clueless as to why, but, just have not run into any 290 owners. Seems very refined and 'newer' features than 300, yet, smaller. If you trailer and plan on solo boating....these models are not for you. It can be done......very troublesome unless ramp and conditions are perfect. Good Luck!

Macerator pump on my 2001 Marlin is dead!

You are due for a new macerator. Replacement is a snap but not cheap. Defender sells them for $350 delivered. I had same issue and explored every avenue and ended up doing the 15 minute project myself. The key is flushing with freshwater after you pump out. I'll bet the switch and hoses are...

    305 express

Most Grady models have similar beam to center line ratio. Relatively high beam ratio's compared to Jupiter, Contender, YellowFin, etc... 6' in any 'beamy' Grady.....excluding the 330 and 336 is not a picnic. The Marlin handles 4 footers no problem unless they are quartering seas with tight...

    Potential 1988 232 Gulfstream owner

Don't pay for a full Survey "yet".....until you can find someone that will do moisture readings on the hull and transom. Once this gives you a comfort level...or not...get the remainder of the boat surveyed and an engine mechanic to give you realistic idea of engine/parts replacement costs...

    225HP's on a 33' Express

Are you looking at the one for sale in Palm Beach Gardens off North Lake Blvd.?

    Grady 258 & 282 input

Looks like trailering is going to steer the decision. Roundtrip 3 times a year is going to be 600 too many miles with a 1/2 ton. The 258 is fine for trailering in-town with the 1/2 ton. Keep it under 50, if possible. Good luck....all nice boats and I have been on all you mentioned.

    marlin 280 vs. marlin 300

Rarely would I recommend a two stroke engine setup over four stroke. In this case, I'd strongly suggest the ox66's (and 10 year newer boat) due to their low hours and very strong reputation for a two stroke. Check with Carolina Boat Brokerage....he pretty much knows the Grady inventory Nationwide.

    Marlin Lists to Starboard

Thank everyone! Looks like Richie Rich has it right because under static conditions with engines aligned properly.....she's still starboard heavy. I'll turn the engines to Port and possibly tilt to level boat out to suffice my ADD issues. Happy Holidays to All!

    Anchor setup

Re: Voyager 248 - Anchor stuck on bow pulpit Nice set up. I have the same anchor on my Marlin and love the fact that it is stuck! I'm not kidding. Because it is stuck I never have to worry about Windlass failure and don't have to secure the rode. When I know it will be used, I release 4" of...

    Marlin Lists to Starboard

Great......I thought I had to trim starboard because I'm overweight. Thanks!

    Marlin Lists to Starboard

It''s listing just enough to bother me (appears to be almost 2") and clueless where the extra weight is hidden. Loaded with fuel and gear, or, nothing at all....she's still starboard heavy. Thanks!
