I've towed trailers all of my life...dump trucks with floats...pickups with boats and enclosed trailers...best all around pickup nowadays is a 3/4 or 1 ton 4wd pickup with a diesel engine...duallys tow better than single rear wheeled trucks...1/2 ton pickups with gas engines are just for small...

When my 208 with a Yamaha 150 was losing power a couple of years ago... I checked the fuel filters, injectors and coils but found it was a bad spark plug New plugs and it was back to normal

I always use tremco tape sealant...stays pliable all the time...no mess Used it on pre-engineered steel building standing seam roofs since they invented it Never leaks ever

I am currently restoring an Tracker Targa 165wt aluminum boat Repaired the fiberglass consoles filling in the cracks and the holes for the fishfinder and steering column Used West system epoxy, fiberglass and plywood plugs Sanded and ready for paint now

We just steer with the big engine when trolling...no need for anything else...simpler the better

My 2007 208 has a Yamaha 150 on it and it runs fine with 4 fishermen on it. It also has trim tabs on it which you definitely need Everybody likes the hardtop as well The only problem with the design of the boat is the rear boat scuppers leak water back into the boat as there is too much weight...

Here is what I custom built for my 208 Adventure The GPS and fishfinder for the dash The ship to shore and AM/FM radio for the overhead console Drilled and mounted 2 speakers in the sides of the overhead console CZ44 3/4" form plywood dadoed, screwed and glued Faced with 1/4" ABS etched flat...

I mounted it to make sure that I had some clearance for the tiller when it was in the down position. With the 25" shaft, it is always in the water. And I left some clearance above the trim tabs for the mounting bracket. I had to remove and remount some of the items inside of the transom. And...

I bought the bracket from Adventure Marine in Surrey British Columbia Canada. Installed it with a backer plate inside of the transom.
