You might also find this additional ongoing discussion in another active thread discussing Tournament models, weight in the stern, and tilt/balance issues helpful: https://www.greatgrady.com/threads/newbie-question.39337/

    Tournament 190, 1986

Jequimby, coincidentally there is another active thread on this site discussing the weight that various outboards add to the stern of the various GW Tournament models. Given the smaller size of the Tournament models and the already present weight of the batteries in the starboard stern area...

    2000 Tournament 192

My Mercury 150 4-stroke weighs 450lbs. Looks like your Suzuki 175 digital weighs 520 or 531? So that’s an additional 70-80 lbs on the stern. Your Tournament 192 handles that weight ok?

    Newbie Question

My 1996 Tournament 192 also has always shown this mild tilt towards starboard when just sitting empty. Over time, I’ve become confident that it is caused by the weight of the two batteries under the starboard stern seat. Two new batteries were located there when I purchased this...

    2000 Tournament 192

Well, you can count me in as one of the “rather small percentage of people” with a repowered Tournament 192. In 2022, I bought a 1996 Tournament 192 that had been repowered by a local boatyard. It was equipped with a new Mercury 150 hp 4-stroke outboard. This size boat is perfect for my needs...

Tournament 192 - Snaps in bow seating area?

I assume the snaps shown in the photo are for some type of cover, but the snaps are only on the vertical wall and on the back of the walkthrough window (shown in open position). What type of cover are these meant to accommodate (or are they for something else?)

    Water coming in scuppers

I had a low riding stern on my 1996 Tournament 192 equipped with a new Mercury 150 4 stroke. Turned out the problem was a lot of water in the bilge area. I had bought a repowered 192 with new motor, instrumentation, seats, etc. I keep my boat on a lift at my dock, and before putting it back in...

    ‘Cuse my Wake

I’m a Syracuse Orange grad. My wife is a Wake Forest University Demon Deacon. We had to compromise when we named our Tournament 192. How did we do?

    Steering Wheel Cap

Good eye and good question as to the eye strap. It was there when I bought my repowered 192 two years ago. Haven’t really noticed it or given it a second thought. One guess is that maybe it’s to secure the emergency motor shutoff cord if not clipped to clothing? Haven’t tried it for that. Now...

Installed the cap. Wheel now looks complete.
