I have an 1850 that I use in the Bay and it holds bottom up to 30 knots with a through-hull (boat doesn't go any faster). When I come in my creek, which shallows out to as low as 4', I have to go to manual and turn the gain way down and it'll read to as low as 3'. Basiscally, any less than 7'...

I looked at the boat yesterday. She's in pretty nice shape, but the transom has me concerned. There are cracks in the gel, and on the port side all the way through the gelcoat, that radiate out from where the aluminum trim (where the motor bolts on) transitions from horizontal to vertical...

I found a 1991 20' Grady cc that looks to be in pretty good shape--from the pics. I've seen so far. I plan on going to look at it this week. Anything in particular I should look out for (transom)? From what I've read, the 20 didn't get the SV2 hull until 1993, so this boat has the older hull...
