    ACR PLB vs InReach Mini

Carry an EPIRB, a PLB, and an InReach. All have different purposes. Hope to never need the first two, but the last one I plan to use for communicating with buddy boats offshore.

    Repower 330

Was down at the boat last week, and took a few updated pictures of the helm area. Elected to go with new gauges, rather than the screen. Boatyard left one original gauge in place, thinking it looked better. For now, it works for me, but I may follow suit from someone up thread and add a...

Agree on all your points. Found 4 locally, so I'm all set.

    WTB Rod holders

Thanks, my initial post was probably not clear. Looking for a set someone has in their garage after upgrading or replacing. Don't care about brand. As long as they are functional, I don't care about shiny. Can't justify the new price of them for this project, and after a repower, my...

    WTB Rod holders

Looking for rod holders for a truck bed project. Gunwale mounts, need 4-6, preference is 0 or 15 degree, but 30 degree will work.

Jumping out of my skin - anyone else?

Down to 3 weeks to go until May 1, the slated splash date. Bouncing off walls here, giddy with anticipation. Have to temper myself by repeating that May weather in New England blows... The first 10-20 hours will be tough to get through - break in period.

    222 Fly Rod Storage?

Do you have a T Top? For those of us who don't have this model, having pictures of what you are working with can help provide better answers. Even if the models are different, sometimes a solution can be found from other models. That said, even on my 330, storing fly rods is a pain. I...

    life jacket netting

Never done this task, and experience with other tasks has told me that there is always the hard way or ways, and generally the right, or easiest way. Thanks for confirming.

    life jacket netting

The netting on my 330 is fine, but I keep looking at the cord holding it up, as it is getting brittle. In theory, replacing the cord should not be a huge deal, but there must be some tricks to the trade?

    New model Freedom 415

I don't get the bow rider thing. For something 18 -22 feet, sure, nice layout. For something 30 or over, no thanks. Can't overnight in bow, can't really fish up there. Basically an express rear without any of the utility in front of a cabin or center console. And for 1.4 M? Wow...

Can see the existing spacing here.

    Rod holder spacing

There are 3 rod holders in the gunwale on my 330 - the two factory holders, and one spaced halfway between them. Guessing this puts them about 15-18" apart. Want to add a 0* swivel holder, but ideally not in place of what is there already. My gut says that putting it between two of the...

    Offshore readiness

Do similar to Gulffisher. Also carry extra racor filter elements, and a strap wrench for them, a funnel. Should have something to dump fuel into from a Racor, but don't keep it on board full time. Bunch of oil absorbing rags, too. Having plugs for various hose sizes is a good idea as well...

    Center rod holder 232 Gulfstream

As noted earlier in the thread, I located a single on the outside of the transom. It is a bit of a long reach and awkward if that is the rod with the tuna on it. The gulfstream may not have quite the same reach, but for this reason, I decided not to add more on the transom. The other...
