If you're building it to GW specs/size, then no, it will slide under it. If it's a custom size, you may have to remove/replace. When I replaced my tanks, they were done by Florida Marine Tank, OEM supplier and built to OEM specs so I had no issues with fit.

I got the template material from SeaDek and made my pattern and sent back to SeaDek.

I had New Wire Marine make me a new one. Took my original to them and made some changes. Very pleased with the outcome.
