Yup, tape and wet finger will give you a nice finished caulk line.

By all means you're welcome to stay!! I was a member back in 2006 and didn't own my first Grady until 2017, pretty much same situation but in reverse. I fish Lake Erie and am very familiar with Hewescraft boats. If I was to ever go back to aluminum boats, Hewescraft is top of the list.

My Loadmaster has a stamped VIN on the tongue of the trailer. Bought it new from Loadmaster in Tampa when I bought my boat back in 2017. Has the placard as well.
