There is a black plastic trim switch next to the trim motor. It is more likely stuck. There is a spring in it

What type of AC is it? If it’s dometic the controller might be on P01( Heat only). P00 = both cold and hot P01=Heat only P02=Cool only Turn on unit via controller and hold power button for more than 10 sec. Indicator should illuminate the mode.

I did mine the same way. 2 person job, one in the hole and one on the chain.

I only replaced the 2 deck drain hoses under the Generator access plate. The drain on the starboard side seems nearly impossible to access. Maybe reach in cut the hose as close to the hose barb as possible and get a long extension rod for a socket that will fit that nut on the scupper drain...
