How many guys have boat names and name graphics??

Here's the safe way to rename your boat... :P http://www.boatsafe.com/nauticalknowhow/rename.htm My old boat was named "Leap Frog"... I tried for "Leap Frog II" on this one... got shot down immediately... she wanted nothing to do with that boat and my single days! The new one is "Widow...

    Transducers? shoot thru/transom/thru-hull?

Just stay with a simple transom mount... plenty for the rivers and bay... if you were big time serious about fishing, the 1000 watt units and thru hulls will give you a better separation of fish from the bottom... but you are looking at up to $1400 plus installation (best left to the pros to...

I got my under water LEDs from http://www.coastalnightlights.com/ Ordered two of the double square ones in blue... look good and reasonably priced... I used two small screws to hold each one in place and routed the power line over the transom and thru the existing clamshell for the transducer...

Survey- what color are your interior cockpit lights

I ran red strips under the gunnels and attached them to the cockpit light wiring as well... I looked all over for a red bulb for the cockpit lights but was unsuccessful, so I removed the bulbs for now... Being red, no problem at all seeing at night... I'll use them early in the morning on the...

    What pitch prop

Didn't mean to imply a 17 pitch for the OP's boat... that was what I used on my Marlin... I was able to stay with the same pitch because I was on the top end of the RPM range... with the extra lift of the 4 blades, I squeaked out a few additional RPMs as well so I could stay with a 17 and hit...

    Replacing props

I've got the same setup as you... I went with the 4 blade props in a 17 pitch... originally had the 3 blade SWS II in a 17... I was able to spin the 3 blades slightly higher than the RPM range for the OX66's called for when fully trimmed out... the folks at propgods were right on when...

    What pitch prop

The folks at PropGods were very helpful when I changed from a 3 to a 4 blade prop... I was actually able to keep a 17 pitch even though traditionally you need to drop an inch or two... I mapped out my speed and rpm's before I called them and based on that we were able to decide on the powertech...

Electrical Issues - Grady Sailfish 272

On my Marlin, the overhead cabinet has it's own separate feed from the battery... the original intent was for the VHF to stay running just in case you main helm feed had issues... my guess is your GPS is on that circuit...

2005 Marlin 300 anchor and rode

I have heard some guys have put up to 600 feet of rode in their lockers... but I think they also switched to 8 plait since it lays better... I have about 250' and there's plenty of room for more... guessing you should be able to easily drop 500' in there...
