Already have a tie around the cap. The bottle is dry outside. It was pouring out the bottom of the silencer while under way.

I didnt know that the bottom hose was supposed to have a vacuum. I'll check it next time if I can. The amount coming out was a lot more than just a drip that would be taken up by that bottom hose though.

Sorry The motor is a 93. I know the hose your talking about it is connected. The leak was fairly significant and was dripping steadily out of the silencer. I have the boat on a trailer in my yard. I tried to duplicate the problem by running it in the driveway but as usual it didn't happen...

I took my boat out today and noticed 2 stroke oil coming out of the seam below the engine cover. When I removed the cover I could see the oul dripping out of the bottom of the airbox on the port side of the motor. Is there a hose anywhere in that area that the oil would be coming from? I'm...

Thanks all for the replies. I wil check out the info you have given me and yes it probably is time to get a new steering system but the problem is cash right now. I spent all my money getting the boat and fixing it up for this season. Mayber next year I'll change it. Once again thanks all.

It has a guage in the top of the aluminum canister that says keep 25-30 lbs in it. I have read other posts that also say something about bleeding systems, but I'm not familiar with this one.
