FS: 2011 Grady-White 275 Freedom with extensive updates

Yes, the boat got a new all-composite transom in 2025 due to minor water seepage around the drain plug. I could have ignored it or had a spot repair done, but I was maintaining the boat with an open checkbook. It cost me about $10K... definitely not money well spent since I decided to get an...

    A month in Florida: Grady-White 275 or Axopar 37?

Mostly the purpose is to escape from / punctuate the Mid-Atlantic winter. I will be working full days during the week, but it’d be nice to swim in the pool and go to restaurants on the boat in the evenings, go snorkeling or diving or to the beach on the weekends.

    A month in Florida: Grady-White 275 or Axopar 37?

I am going to spend January in Florida, either Fort Lauderdale, Key Largo, or Marathon. I'd appreciate some input from people in the area on which of my boats I should take. I have a 2011 Grady-White 275 dual console and a 2021 Axopar 37XC. What would I gain by taking the Axopar? Is there...

    Choosing the right grady.

I haven't ridden on a World Cat so I can't comment on that, sorry. Generally speaking cats will handle rough conditions better but they do handle a bit differently than monohulls: https://boattest.com/view-news/6522_How_to_Handle_a_Power_Catamaran%3A_Driving_a_Cat_is_a_Whole_New_Ballgame The...

    Choosing the right grady.

I own a Freedom 275 and have looked at the line extensively. Here's how I differentiate them: The 285 is the only one trailerable by mere mortals (and even it is a foot wider than 'legal'). The 307 feels like a different, larger class of boat from the 285. It's worth the upgrade if you don't...

Replacing the transom on my 275 Freedom: a photo story

They said they will drill the new transom where the original holes were (the inner splash well skin is original, so the original drain holes are there) and insert a tube bedded in 5200.
