Thanks the compass was indeed under the sink. Connection looked good, will have to do some more advanced troubleshooting to determine issue. I was able to get the helm lift sorted out. It turned out the switch was bad. In case other people want to troubleshoot one - there are 4 wires coming...

Couple more questions. Where is the compass sensor for the autopilot likely to be located? It is a Simrad AP22 and original to the boat. It is giving an error "compass not found". I looked behind the cabin electrical panel and did not see anything Simrad there. It is also not on either side...

Agree they are the water pressure gauges for the outboards. One other thing is that they often are not maintained, so that if you store boat in a freezing environment, the hose will split due to force of ice, and/or break the gauge. For this reason it is a good idea to disconnect at the gauge...
