I have a 2007 257 and would like to know how to clean the strainer for the raw water washdown. Do I need a spanner wrench or something else to unscrew the cap? I can't unscrew it by hand. Thanks for any help!!

Windless I purchased a 2007 257 last year. I didn't want the pulpit and had my GW dealer intall a Lewmar 700. They replaced the anchor locker door with a split door ordered from Grady. The port side of this door has a mounting area raised to accept the windless and is fixed. The starboard side...

Either your rode needs replacing or there is a severe twist in the line. Try taking the line out and removing the twist and relayer it back the locker. Hope this helps

I owned a 97 208 in Florida which I recently sold. I had a Yamaha 200 Saltwater Series II. I agree that u should look at the latest year you can afford. Officemn Walt 2007 Grady 257 T-150

Congrats on your new Sailfish!!! Its a great boat as I fish with a friend who has one. We do some serious offshore fishing in the Gulf off of SW Florida. As far as the gas just don't go crazy with the throttles.......and it will as economical or better then other boats in its class.

I live in Minnesota but winter in SW Florida where we recently purchase a new Grady 257. Sold our older 208 and stepped up to do more offshore in SW Florida. Looking foward to contributing to this site.

I recently purchased a new Grady 257. The rear hatch is not caulked immediately by dealer unless they are installing the electronics. In my case I installed the electronics and when I took it in for the 20hr check they caulked that rear hatch (at no charge).
