    Replace Jabsco Electric Conversion?

Yeah, a bit pricey. Hence why I'm wondering about doing it myself. I'm sure having my local Marine company do it would be $500 or so.

    Replace Jabsco Electric Conversion?

I appreciate the reference to not being built to last... and love the pun! As for the current Jabsco, it is 12 years old. So, in terms of "built to last", I feel OK with that amount of time/usage.

    Replace Jabsco Electric Conversion?

Thanks for that video. While I could do the service kit like it shows, the rusting and flaking have me wanting to just buy a replacement and install. And I assume the install of a new unit would be fairly simple.

    Replace Jabsco Electric Conversion?

The Jabsco Electric Conversion (the tall cylinder on the right) in the head of my Freedom has a couple of issues. As you can see in the picture, it is rusting/flaking, and also appears to be a small leak at a seal in the bottom. The leak is very minor and appears to only be the inlet water...

Rust from ladder on boat "pad" (non slip surface)

Thanks all. And the heat gun and plastic scraper is a great idea. It reminds me of when I bought my Grady and needed to remove the old boat name. I used a hair dryer instead of a heat gun though. Again, not sure if I trust myself with something that could actually do some damage it not done...

Rust from ladder on boat "pad" (non slip surface)

Thanks for to idea of scraping it off. I'm wondering though, with my limited set of tools and abilities, I assume I would need to have a detailer scrape it off? I'm not handy enough to know what to use to scrape it... and without doing some kind of damage. Also, is there some standard grip...

Rust from ladder on boat "pad" (non slip surface)

I have a Freedom, and where the ladder folds up and over and rests in an inset in the boat, there is what I think is an applied sort of pad that is a scratchy surface. Almost like a no-slip type of surface. Where the ladder sits, has become dirty, showing sone residual rust, etc. Is there any...

How to replace port/red bulb in pop-up bow light?

You absolutely nailed what I needed. I talked to GW today and got the model number. It is an Accon Marine unit. That's the good news. The bad news is my bow light is discontinued, so I can't just get the replacement parts. I need to buy a new unit. Oh well, at least I now have the answer...

How to replace port/red bulb in pop-up bow light?

Thanks all. Very helpful to see it's not just a simple bulb replacement. I'll probably call Grady just to confirm on the part, and then replace it.

How to replace port/red bulb in pop-up bow light?

That little button/lever is what releases the light to pop up, and that keeps it locked down.

How to replace port/red bulb in pop-up bow light?

Thanks. Yes, I unscrewed the three screws which are attaching it to the boat. I just remembered that I got a picture of it. And am attaching it here in hopes that helps see what it looks like. In this picture, you can see I've removed the screws from the "unit".

How to replace port/red bulb in pop-up bow light?

I have a 2011 Freedom 307. My port (red) light in my bow light is not operating. I'm guessing the bulb just needs replaced. (Starboard/green works just fine) I took a look at it the other day, and don't know how to open up the bow light to get in and try a new bulb. Does anyone know how to...
