    Prop hubs spinning

I've used the Yamaha shop for 10 years and they have been great. The prop shop they use has been doing their props for quite a while. Both are baffled. I did notice something today. The new style Yamaha anodes do not have the trim tab on them. It's a flat disc with the cooling duct entrance...

Already did that. They failed the second time. I'm wondering about the quality of the inserts also.

    Prop hubs spinning

I've got twin Yamaha 250s with 15 1/4 x 19T props. Worked fine last year but when I took them off over the winter, the hubs were pretty chewed up. I had them rehubbed. Lasted one trip then they spun. When you got past 3500 RPM, the RPM shot up into the 5000s. Both hubs. They rehubbed them...

    Bennett Trim Tab Not Retracting

Tried all the suggestions but none worked. I had tried to squirt water between the tab and the bottom. Didn't work, but then got the idea to use a pressure washer. That did it. Whatever was in there got dislodged. Now the tabs working just fine. Thanks for all the suggestions.

    Bennett Trim Tab Not Retracting

By 2 units I mean 2 indicator lights. They seem to be fine because when I physically check the tabs, the starboard one is definitely down a little (about an inch) and the port is up. When I turn off the ignition the tab does fully retract and the lights are out. When it stops at the 2 light...

    Bennett Trim Tab Not Retracting

I replaced the switches last year. Doesn't mean they're not bad, so I'll check. Thanks.

    Bennett Trim Tab Not Retracting

My starboard trim tab will not come up all the way with the switch. Stops trying at 2 units. Port works fine. Starboard will come up when I turn the key off. Takes a longer than usual time, but it does come flush with the bottom. Hydraulic reservoir was just a little above minimum. Screws...

    Deck Removal

Bought a 2006 Marlin in Jan. Great boat. Now it's out for the winter and I want to do some work that will be much easier if I remove the aft deck hatch. It looks like it is just screwed down and caulked. Any other thing I should be aware of before removing it? Any adhesive on it? Also, when...
