    90" Garmin Kraken on 228

Here’s the mock up with wood you can see it’s bending two layers of plywood. But this will pretty much be where it will land. It seems to clear everything.

    90" Garmin Kraken on 228

Made some progress on my mount of my Garmin Kraken. The angle looks weird, but it’s as small as it can be. The propeller almost touches the pulpit. I clear coated the aluminum with three coats so hopefully it won’t corrode too bad Wow, ads have made this forum Tough to use on mobile...

Looks great Bob! I got my 90" Kracken and actively working on cutting a template. If you can, could you take a photo straight up from the bottom of your pulpit looking strait at your plate? That would give me the info I need to get pretty close. Then you don't have to mail me anything. I've...

    90" Garmin Kraken on 228

Thanks for the reply Bob. I'm going to follow your design for my 228. Still trying to decide on the 90 or the 75" shaft length. Measuring it seems like 75" may just be enough but its definitly a risk. I guess the only benifet is stowing it however with your design it may not matter. My boats on...

    Rhodan on a 226 Seafarer

Looks great. Was it long enough? I searched and still hunting for someones experience with a 72" or 75" bow mount on a Seafarer?

Great idea. I think I'm going to mount my new TM just like you did. Now to figure out the needed shaft length. Bump for the question above. Do you think 75" would work in 2' chop max?

Pulling the trigger on a pilot house on the 228

They quoted me $2k for ding repair on a client's swim step (red Mastercraft). ouch but I asked them about a pilothouse LOL

Sure, I didn't know what I was doing but did my research and prepped, was cold also. Had to tent it with heaters. It's held up 6 years later. post you phone and I'll call you.

Pulling the trigger on a pilot house on the 228

Amazing! Been wanting a pilothouse on my 228 since I got it 6 years ago. I started a few thread about it. Your build is the best documented, maybe only one! I need to find a local builder but I hope he would get the lines right like yours, it's not easy to do, easy to make them look like crap!

    232 Gulf Stream Helm seats

Following. I'm looking to replace the base of a grady ladder back chair. flip seats look great however my 3rd passenger stands and holds on the the handles on the seats so without it they will lean and push the back into me driving. Happened on my last boat and was annoying.

You can put a hinge on the bowrail and it will almost look uncut. I did on mine.

    Rocker switches

My Grady has different stock switches, they are 4 pins not 3 like the ones above. Not sure those will work with the breakers. I'm not expert but I found Blue Seas versions with the 4 pins on Amazon.
