    casting platform

I saw a nice looking homemade platform last year on a Worldcat that was made out of PVC Sheet / board with two 1" SS tubes underneath for support. It was very stable / strong. The 1" SS pipe sat in a cradle that were attached to the edges of the seats. Very slick install and did not move.

Year One Recap – 2016 Grady White 306 Canyon

Thanks for the tip re Kent Fabrications. I sent Erik Kent a note and included the picture you shared. Hoping to get one made up this sprint. What degree rod holder did you go with in the bow? I bought two zero degree from Gemlux, yet to install, having buyers remorse after the boat show when...

Year One Recap – 2016 Grady White 306 Canyon

Hi Capeguy - the second rod holder off the t-top looks like it would solve my rod storage issues. Where did you get it? As for the 1.6 MPG - pretty religious about running boat 3700-3900 RPMs. usually have 2-5 people aboard.

Hi - love to learn more about the divider you made for stern fish box. Any pictures / tips how to do it? I'll be interested in how your bow shade comes out - the bow cover looks great.

306 canyon - do engines touch water when raised?

Quick update after spending six months in the water - No real marine growth. No need to paint. Just one inch in the water and whatever growth was there easily wiped off when swimming. Thanks!

Year One Recap – 2016 Grady White 306 Canyon

We just wrapped up our first season with our 2016 Grady White 306 Canyon and wanted to share some impressions. Operating out of Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts—an area well known for its rough afternoon seas driven by southwest winds—we logged roughly 2,500 miles. Our trips included offshore...

Bahamas on mid 90's two strokes?

Very reliable engines. I’d put 50 hours on them to build confidence with them and then no concern running to Bahamas.

    Engine flush connector FIX

Many thanks! I’m looking for replacement o-rings and happy to know size and source. I had issues until I used silicon lubricant and now it’s easy on/off without issue. I have two connectors in need of new orings. Thanks again for sharing.

What degree rod holder for bow on 306 canyon?

Yes, same access hatch / windless as your 2018. Good idea on location because they could drain into anchor locker. Next time at boat I’ll evaluate for clearence. Thx.

What degree rod holder for bow on 306 canyon?

I’m looking to add one or two rod holders in the bow area on my canyon 306. Primary use is to hold spinning rod as we move around the tuna grounds. I do not plan to fight fish from this rod holder. Thoughts on placement and degree? I plan to buy from Gemlux. Thanks in advance!

    Grady White Flush Port

I’m using the factory installed flush port just inside transom door. Very easy access. Works well. Just need new o-ring for attachment.
