    Live well removal

I pulled mine out in my 228. The lid comes out easy with 4 screws, then the actual livewell has screws around the top, then you have to reach in where the battery lid is to disconnect 2 hoses the raw water and drain hose those are a little bit of a pain.

    WTB Adventure 208 / Seafarer 228

Your search on the west coast for a 228 in that price range will be tough. I bought my 228 last year from the East coast for about that and it needed new trailer and repower so I have way more $ into it now, prices were high last year and they are starting to come down a bit but I didn't care...

    Adventure gunnel railing

I totally agree, on my seafarer the gunnel is low. I too also had a north river and these Grady's are low. Fighting salmon in a mixed swell in cold waters is not something to play around with. I'm considering doing the same but most likley will have a fabracator build me something custom that...

Buying a 2002 228 without trailer- Need trailer advise

I purchased a new to me 228 and put a brand new trailer under it to transport it from FL to OR. Its been great! I went with a 7K trailer and I think that's the minimum I would go. Ive upgraded the tires to goodyear endurance D1 load rating and its great. I went with surge brakes, but I tow with...

    Repowered my seafarer 228!!

I had Maxxum marine do the repower it was the best price and they had motors in stock with fast and professional service too! Total was $28,500 for 250 & 9.9 with new controls/ 2 props/replace seastar rear hoses/new filter. This is for mechanical controlls and the kicker is power tilt/start
