I would cut the brass cube off and use the correct size six point socket on the nut. That will minimize the chance of slipping and rounding the nut off. I wouldn't use an adjustable wrench, especially as the nut is fairly thin.
I measured the width of the stripes and the space between and specified the colours for the multi-stripe roll.
This is how I ordered mine.
2 x 50 Feet Multi Stripe Rolls - Premium Vinyl
1 1/16 Dark Blue
1/16 Inch Gap
1/8 Inch Ultra Gold Metallic
3/16 Inch Gap
1/4 Inch Dark Blue
With the 226 you have the much maligned transom bang cap and associated wet transoms. Unless length is an issue for storage etc, I don’t see any advantages of a 226 over a 228.
I used Gyeon Q2R Marine Polish Step 1 and Step 2.
Next time I will just use Step 1 as I could see very little difference after using the finer Step 2 compound.
I finished with Gyeon Q2R Gelcoat ceramic coat.
