This is what I did for my 1999 Tournament 192. I riveted both side of brace - has held up for 10 years now.

Here is my set up on a 1999 Tournament 192. The bunks follow the inside portions of the chines. From the rear, measured horizontally, the distance is 52” from outside of left bunk to outside of right bunk.
