If it's corroded you can get 30% vinegar and put it in a spray bottle and the acid will dissolve the corrosion. It will free Up the zipper. I soaked some corroded zippers on side curtains in the vinegar. It freed them and then I lubed them.

My 2008 with a F250 4.2 Yamaha and power tec 4 blade prop I can cruise at 30 at 3,900 to 4,000 RPM Boat tops at 47 at WOT.

I take my 228 everywhere . Pick your days and watch the weather. If it looks iffy don't go. I routinely fish out of Florida's east coast and the Keys with it. It works well for our purposes. We travel up to 30-40 off. I have taken it to the Bahamas a couple times and the Dry Tortugas .

I took my 228 to Lee msyve 8 years ago for new Strataglass curtains. AJ did a great job and they are in great shape today.

My factory Grady was what ever clear vinyl they used. They took abuse and it showed. I replaced them with Strataglass. They are much improved on the durability and clarity. I recommend the material.
