    Position on trailer

Yes, and no. If you have the correct setup it's like towing anything else (EOH brakes and a Ram 2500 6.7l Cummins). I rarely feel the boat back there when towing out here in California and we have to go up and over steep grades to get to the ocean. The only issue I've had was going across the...

    Position on trailer

To give you a piece of mind that is exactly how my 265 sits on my trailer. I had the trailer built for the boat. Whenever I loosen the strap the bow lifts, very minimally.... you are overthinking it. Enjoy the boat, she likes to go fast!

Dodge ecodiesel for towing (and stopping) a 228?

My boat weighs almost double and has never once pushed my single axle RAM 2500 around, not a single blip, actually I don't even feel the boat back there while towing and stopping. You have another issue if your dully was getting pushed around by something half its size. Seems like you have all...

    Toe rail removed

Not going to lie that is one of my favorite parts of my 265. Feel super safe with a toe hooked in while bottom fishing. You're right, it's always super dirty behind them.

    Grady White 265 Express

The 265 is a tough boat to handle in snotty weather, constantly course correcting as the bow has a mind of it's own. I typically only use my motors to trim the boat, only touch tabs when folks want to move around while underway. In a following sea the bow will always want to go one way or...

My props on my 265 with HPDI's is a 14"x17-M. I'm seeing 1.4 mpg at cruise. The prop feel perfect for the motor and boat

Not a grady question but you guys know a bunch so

Going fast comfortably in our afternoon chop is pretty much none existent. Spend all the money you want but there is no way to go fast in our chop without your crew hating you and or a few ft shorter because of all the pound you took from the hull. Sure get a 65ft boat, but that is only going...

    Express 330 with 300s?

Do some research on those 350's.....make sure you have a dealer close by that has new flywheels in stock as you'll be there constantly, by far one of the most unreliable engine on the market.....300's are the most bulletproof engine on the market today and a perfect match for the 330. The only...

Looking for 265 Grady White Expeess

The boat feels much larger then 26ft and you will have zero issues running offshore 80 miles, just check the weather. Rough water, the boat actually likes to run a littler faster but can only go so fast in the slop. $69k is expensive for a boat in that shape, without a trailer. You'll spend...

Looking for 265 Grady White Expeess

Yah you know me! Good luck Martin, they're a diamond in the rough. Me, found one in rough shape out in FL and shipping it back to CA, then the hard work started. Yes it was wet, it was a 15 year old boat that sat in the water, all boats will have some type of moisture level, all depends on...

Just days away from first GW Adventure 208 2021! Am I on the right track?

Grady is not like a Bayliner, plain and simple. There are plenty of guys on the west coast that fish a 208 without any issues and fish them hard. You will have no problem with that boat and it's a great first time boat owner boat. But I bet in a few years you'll have the 2ft'itis but you'll...

    Trailer tires

I have my 265 sitting on Goodyear Endurance tires (ST225/75/R15). Purchased and shipping from Discount Tire Direct for $121/tire. Took them to Costco to mount to the rim for $15/tire. Have had zero issues but fishing has been pretty non-existent with a newborn at home.

Salty dogs and why I love this forum

Glad your not in pain and no need for the back and forth on this topic since it sounds like you have all the answers. I'm really hoping the lesson learned here is if your dropping pots bring along your puller if you don't have the ability to pull by hand.
