Yup you have a good point there. It makes good sense to update the transducer also. Yes Bob I almost pulled trigger for the 942 xs plus. Thats a nice unit also, you will enjoy.

I also have been following to upgrade my older 740s. Pricing seems good for what it offers.Garmin has a good support system in place. One thing i need to find out is if current transducer will be comatable. It sure would be nice to flush mount.

I have had a 17' Pamlico for 16 yrs, a 190 Tournament for 12 yrs & now a 248 Voyager for 2 yrs all my favorite boats , the Marlin is about three years away. I'm sure that will be a favorite also

No idea of value, but if your saying no bottom paint , and hull is in good shape, and if every thing works and looks taken care of, low 20"s should be about right. Any Hard top w/ canvas? You can ask for service records on engine. Best bet is to spend the money for a good surveyor. I don't...
