Hoping to purchase one of these boats this winter. Anyone have strong feelings or experience with these choices or options. Will be boating in North Shore Boston area. Thanks for your help.

I admittedly know very little about the Dual Console style of boats as I have a 228 Seafarer, which is a walkaround style of cabin. That being said, I've heard nothing but great things about the Pursuit brand of boats and wouldn't exclude them at all. I think it's going to come down to several different things here, which would be local dealership reputation, pricing, availability, what your fishing/boating needs are, etc. If all things were equal and especially if pricing is similar on the models, I'd skip the 255 Freedom and go for either the 275 Freedom or the Pursuit DC 266 as they're going to be a bigger/longer/heavier boat and I like that the latter mentioned boats have a decent sized fish/ice box. Whereas the 255 Freedom appears to just have a cutting board back there and its fish/ice box is up front in the bow under the cushions where people sit. The 255 Freedom also seems to be a bit cramped in the stern and like you'd have a bit less fishing/seating space back there as it's obviously 1'-2' smaller. Again, it depends on your budget, your fishing/boating needs and so forth to determine which model will be best for you. Of which, I'd also mention checking out the 285 Freedom as it's a considerably bigger boat with a 9'6" beam as opposed to the 255/275 Freedom with an 8'6" beam and the Pursuit with an 8'9" beam respectively. Not sure the difference in pricing between the different models but it might also be something to consider as well. I'd again recommend stepping on each model of boat, see which one you like best and which one you think has the best layout or whatever you'll need it for. Check your local dealerships for reviews or ratings and if there are any to avoid, or ones that might be better than others. Good luck!
