Grady 340 Express Announced

I'm not fond of the new style Grady is adopting. I prefer the cleaner look of their current models, though I do like the forward table/bed in the cabin and the table next to the helm. Also it looks wrong without the bow pulpit

Piling on. The lack of rod holders struck me immediately - but worse is no ability to add more easily. While moving the helm out of the middle may be beneficial, the electronics pod looks very crowded and limited. The entire helm seems a bit cramped compared to the 330. Not a fan of the cabin layout - we have never sat down at the table below in the 330. While the cabin seems like it would feel larger especially toward the mid berth, it also is more like a single great room. One of the things we love about the 330, is that there is at least the feeling of privacy for my teen daughter who sleeps in the mid berth. The 340 does not have this. I do think the central stair/ladder is nice, however.

Like most new boats seem to do, this one adds a ton of accessories which are likely to need work ($$) after the first 5 years, many of them add a lot of complexity as well. Time will tell.

Seakeeper Ride will be available on the 340 in the future, I am not sure when that will occur. I installed Seakeeper Ride on my 300 Marlin and it is a game changer. The 340 boat is amazing. I was on the prototype 2 months ago. Hull 1 is at the Ft Lauderdale boat show.

How long have you had the Ride product? Is the boat stored in the water?
Do you have growth on the Ride actuators? Have you anti-fouled the actuators?
I ask because I learned the hard way how fast things like barnacles will stick to the composite Ride actuators.
