Hey all - looking at a 236 in Punta Gorda,FL. I would need it shipped to Chatham MA. Any idea how much I could be looking at? Any recommendations?
Thanks!
Ted

Try Uship dot com

If it has a trailer, it will be less - look for a "hot shot" shipper
Thanks. No trailer and don’t need one once it gets here. Seems like that adds expense. Ultimately there are a lot of boats going south this time of year - hoping to be half a round trip for someone.

Yes, it will increase expense. The options will be limited to putting it on a truck or hoping to find a hot shotter with his own trailer that will work for your boat.

Or... take a few weeks off work and splash it

I recently had a 33 Grady Express shipped from Pensacola to NJ on their trailer including all fees. $6900 for what ever it’s worth

Years ago I had a Freedom 225 shipped from Ft. Lauderdale to Charleston and used Caj Flynn on his trailer. It was $1,200. Using a boat transporter I didn’t need another trip down there to load the boat and everything was stowed, hatches were taped down, etc and the boat arrived in perfect condition. Caj is on tht too and I can find his # if you’re interested.

I have used Tony Stewart about twenty times for hauling my boat all over the east coast. The farthest trip was from West Palm Beach, FL to Mackinaw, Mi and it cost $5,000.

Tony's number is (561) 253-4007. He has his own truck(s) (Ram 3500's) and several size trailers. He secures the boat very well. He is licensed and insured. And he stays with the boat. He pulled the rear seat from his truck and made sleeping quarters. So he'll sleep at truck stops. If someone were to climb on to your boat he'd know it. And as a retired Marine, I think he would handle it.

I met Tony through our local Grady dealer. He gets boats from the factory for them when they just have one boat to be delivered. So he is known at the factory as well - at least by some folks.

Tony has given me every reason to trust him implicitly.

At Uship, you have no control over who gets the contract to haul your boat. I've had friends with good experiences and heard some horror stories.

I will always stay with the guy that has earned my trust. I may get a little extra treatment because I have been using Tony for twenty years. But it works both ways.

Just make sure you do your research/homework on the topic at hand, as unfortunately another member had an issue when transporting his boat with a shipping company last year.

Thanks for that. Much appreciated!
