I've been using a remote temp water sensor at the 2nd house for years now. Recently changed to Verizon and their router is not reliable at 2.4G. Seems that most of the network temp sensors run at 2.4G. I see this company offers water bugs as well as temp/humidity. Units run $100 to $300 depending on what you want with about a $9 monthly subscription. It runs on cellular. Seems like a good option for either the boat or 2nd home monitoring. Looking for some input before buying.

If it is a signal strength issue, a repeater or mesh network product might help. That said, if you have the new Verizon equipment, your devices may be connecting to the 5G option. The router will create both 2.4 and 5g with the same credentials. One work around is to go into the router and change the SSID ( WIFI) name of the 2.4G for example and reprogram your temperature/humidity sensors.

I also use(d) remote access products to remotely monitor temp and humidity. Some of the offerings must configure on 2.4G but once set up can work in the 5G network

I was also 'forced' to replace all my Verizon equipment last year and the process was miserable. Multiple parts swapped out, Multiple tech visits, extender added, and Moca boxes added to main TV. The system was definitely not ready for prime time:)
Since then things have improved but glitches are common and reboots are a frequent necessity.

The tech support that you reach after the AI agent gets totally confused are OK but the real tech support folks are very good. Verizon makes it hard to get transferred to those folks.

Well, I'll let you know. Can't be without reliable remote monitoring.
