    bleeding hydraulic steering lines

Assuming you have Seastar, (Teleflex) steering. "FILLING & PURGING THE SYSTEM" - http://ww2.seastarsteering.com/OUTBOARD ... urge.htm&1 I've done it a few times and I don't like their method of attaching the bottle to helm. Imo, it's too messy. I found a small, plastic funnel that fits...

    Engine Flushing

Just to expand on what just in time said... The issue of trapping water in the lower area of the outboard, is a concern in freezing temperatures. As a rule, during cold season use, (or layed up for winter storage) you want the outboard tilted straight down, (verticle) to allow any water to...

    Oil Tank Capacity

This is from a Yamaha 2002, 200 HPDI owners manual. "Chapter 4 - Maintenance, Specification data" "Remote oil tanks" - "10.5 liter tank = 11.1 us quarts" Approximately 2.75 gallons. "18 liter tank = 19.1 us quarts." Approximately 4.75 gallons.

    Engine Flushing

On the port side of the engines, just below the cowling, there is a black garden hose fitting, (female) with a short rubber line on it. Simply un-thread, attach your garden hose and flush away. You'll see water exiting the tell-tale, (pisser). Run the water for about 3 to 5 minutes. Don't run...

    What should I do?

Lmao... I was gona make a wise crack about that. :D Doesn't help when entire crew is on the same side either. That boat is gorgeous!

Admirals... can't live with em, can't kill em. :D Stole that line from "True Lies", lol.

    Amp gauge pegs out.

Ok... Do the multi meter test. It'll prove if it's the regulator or the dash gauge. Connect the multi meter's leads to the battery your using and leave them on there, (take a reading). Start the motor and watch the meter, (forget about your dash gage for now). As Bob mentioned, you'll see...

    What should I do?

:D ... And what about the poor 26 Express? that b@st@rd child lasted what.. 4, 5 years? :( I always liked that boat... nice size. I think they should have kept making it, but with a regular, bracketed full transom, like the Gulstream.

    Amp gauge pegs out.

Yes... voltage gauge. What does it read when the ingition switch is Off?... should be 0, (obviously). With ignition switch on, (not start) should be a little over 12v, with a fully charge battery. As Just in time said, get a portable multi meter and read the voltage directly on the...

    What should I do?

Your welcome. I think it's great that the dealer is willing to give you back a substantiial amount of money, (over 5k) without a big hassle. Over-all, at the price you mentioned, plus this refund, I think you got a good deal. Hopefully this issue will be history soon and you can simply...

Gettiing a stand up jet ski in to my seafarer for transport?

I don't know... something just doesn't sit right about doing this. Is it really worth risking damage to your boat... and the jet ski? If you trailer your boat, why not have someone else trailer the jet ski? If your going somewhere by water, and it's not too far, I think you could get...

    Tranducer mounting

I totally agree with what Jekyl is saying. The "shoot thru" method will lose power... there's no way around it. The Overnighter install, (I mentioned above) was for a basic Huminbird unit. I think the signal return was fine on that unit, but again... it was a lower end model and didn't have a...

Seafarer 228 - Aft bilge pump float switch

If you look through one of the seat plates, you might be able to see it, but reaching it with anything will be next to impossible. Assuming you have a standard Rule bilge pump and seperate float switch, the switch should look like this - http://www.rule-industries.com/products ... /index.htm...

    What should I do?

Wow... and this effects your life how? Weren't you the one who said, "you will not own a new boat 6 months from now because ......you are cheap and so on"? Good call, huh? "the Grady Expert from redneck riviera has had 11 pages on this forum..." That sounds like nothing more than...

    What should I do?

Tough call Bama. I'm glad to see you finally found a new boat, but that would really pi$$ me off. It's so easy for them to hook up a computer and see the history... and you know they did. Proving it, (in court) I think, would be a different story. I also agree with Magicbill... big...

    Tranducer mounting

I used Life Seal to secure a Huminbird transducer, (standard transom mount) in the bilge of a 20' Overnighter. Dead center, just a head of the bilge pumps float switch. This was back in 2000... it still works like a champ. Gives a consistant bottom reading, even at high speed. Clean the area...

Error Message Garmin 18HD- Radar Anyone seen this ??

From Garmins owners manual... "Radar Service Lost—(radar) the unit has lost communications with the remote radar unit. Check the network and the radar wiring". So... first thing I would check is your ethernet, (net work) cable. Make sure the connectors at both ends, (display and radome)...

    Could Use Some Advise...

No... not really. 200 or 225 is typical for a 22 Grady. If by "fuel injected" you mean "Ficht", (which I thought was Evinrude) then run the other way. A 150 carbed, (Johnson Ocean runner) is ok... but still under powered for that boat.
