    NJ re Fishing Line

I agree 100% with all that, those set ups will cover just about everything jersey has to offer bay to inshore IMO. Our tuna jigging reels are Avets Lx's G2's loaded with depth hunter 65lb braid.

    NJ re Fishing Line

20 or 30 no more. the thinner the better. you are not fishing for fish that are going to test your tackle so the thinnest line you can will bring more strikes, I M O. out front sea bass are moving in, we caught them real good in around 40' currents not bad we used 4,5 and 6 oz's all day

transducer mounting on a 96 gulfstream with single engine on a bracket.

yes the transducers worked well for me but I had 3 back there. 2 big ones for the echo map plus units and a panoptic down and forward scanning connected to the gps map unit all either side of the center line. once I moved them outward a bit it made the difference.

transducer mounting on a 96 gulfstream with single engine on a bracket.

Just stay off centerline enough, I had some issues being new to bracket last year. I was quick to get help here. To close to center line created to much dirty water for prop so beware.

a little test run today. I glassed in a piece of 1/8" diamond plate after bonding it with west marine products. Then I mixed up some adhesive filler and smoothed that over. Looks like it will work. I have ordered carbon fiber tubing to lay in for wiring as needed. I think I can, I think I can.

    replacing gas tanks

just took the front tank out, it went smoothly. Washed out and painted up no structural issues but I cut the hoses to get them off, my lack of patience got the better of me when I could not get them to budge from stems. that will cost me

    Verado vs Sea Pro

I was thinking of of twin 150 sea pros for my 24 but the dealer talked me out of it. his main pushing point was you will feel less vibration with the verados. apparently the mounts are more rigid on the sea pros transferring that vibration to the boat. I don't know first hand but I assumed the...

    wiring harness question

thank you very much. The wire connectors were 1/4" paddle type so other than being a pain to get at I should be good.. the harness is coming through a plastic pipe from the bilge. there appears to be two of them one of them had pump hose running through it that I removed and relocated the wash...

I stripped the helm this weekend, all wires out. When I attempted to pull harness portion connected to ignition switch towards the helm, within a few feet of pulling, plug in ends came out. Does anyone know what these wires were connected to? at least 1 was orange. Did grady install harnesses...
