If you can do it i also like the Honda idea better than the inverter.

Do you know if your HPDI's give you 45 Amps at idle? That inverter draws lot's of amps, it might toast your batteries before you know it.

Agree with you 100%. He's an expert in fishing, but i guess he needs to improve his driving skills if he has/had a boat.

I also have the previous model Standard Horizon HX850S and i am happy with it, i tested it a few times and has good range, i even threw it in the water to see if it really floats. The battery life is awesome, one charge before season and is good for the rest of my season plus.
