    Trailer chain?

I went with 3/8 G80 7100 working load zinc coated.

    Trailer chain?

My Pacific trailer came with steel cables that are rusting out (and don't look strong enough to hold 7000 pounds of boat and trailer). I found some 5/16" anchor chain that claims a working strength of 2500 pounds, breaking strength of 5000 pounds. Do people think that is strong enough to keep...

    Windshield frame removal

I did this on a 2020 228 a few months back. I believe there is some strip that pulls out and then you have access to the screws. Mine was black and I think on the outside. If you don't figure it out, DM me and I'll go look at my windshield see if I can figure it out.

running transducer cable 2024 232 Gulfstream

You need to look at the wires feeding your fuse box. See if they are big enough for whatever you power up there. I power an 18 inch Garmin radar, running light, and a Garmin 942xv off of my fuse box which is fed with ten gauge on my boat (check your owner's manual, it will tell you). When you...

Came close to sinking my 330 yesterday

I've had them in there for over 2 years and been happy with them. You are correct that stuff can get in there so when I'm cleaning the boat, I pick out anything that can block them and then I blast water through to be sure they are clean (I have 60 PSI at the house). I wanted to be happy with...

    With all due respect

I have whatever Grady put in in 2020 and they are going strong. NOCO GENIUS2X2, 2-Bank, 4-Amp (2-Amp Per Bank) charger.

Came close to sinking my 330 yesterday

I have a thread sort of related, I gave on on the flaps for the scuppers and put in this: That's a flap valve, the water leaving your boat is enough to open it up, it's just gravity fed so water coming in pushes it shut. It's not perfect but for me it is way better than the standard rubber...

    outrigger recommendation 2022 271 Canyon

My buddy has that boat and he has Taco Grand Slam 280 bases and the Taco Silver 1.5" x 15' poles. I have the exact same setup and like it.

    Wiper adjustment screw?

I'd like to know that as well since I need to get new arms to match my pilot house.

What have you done to your Grady lately?

I'll work on more pics for sure. The side windows are sliders and they let a lot of air in.

What have you done to your Grady lately?

I like the bar at the dock. I love me a good cocktail at the end of the day even though I won't allow any booze on my boat (I'm on the Pacific, we don't have that Florida flat ocean sandbar vibe, we have it just got shitty really fast vibe. Doesn't mix with booze). But your home dock has a...

What have you done to your Grady lately?

I put my boat in a slip because I was redoing everything, brake lines, calipers, rotors, bearings. Much easier with the boat off. I think you can probably do it with the boat on if your trailer is anything like mine. Plenty of room at the front and that's where you will be working.

    Adding dual control to Seafarer?

Why not tighten up the nut that lets the tiller swing up and swing it up out of the way? That's what I did.

What have you done to your Grady lately?

The way I did it was probably harder than most because I replaced everything: brake lines, calipers, bearings. If you have a setup you trust and you just need to add the electric over hydraulic pump and redo the wiring, that's pretty straightforward. You need to find the wiring diagram and...

    Adding dual control to Seafarer?

I have an alternative for you that might be cheaper (but way less cool!) Check out: https://www.controllking.com/ I have one of those, I got it because my friend who got my hardtop has one. We fish with each other and I loved his control so I got one as well. What it is: a box that goes at...

    Potential Price of my Seafarer

I guess the question is what value is it to the forum to have you repeatedly state you don't need something? You can say "no offense" all you want, but what you are really doing is sort of shitting on someone else's project. Maybe I'm a big pussy, but your comments seem to run counter to the...

What have you done to your Grady lately?

I probably have already posted. I've got some stuff. A) I put on correct sized trim tabs. My 228 came with 9x12, I replaced those with 12x18 and holy shit, in our shitty Pacific ocean, the ride is so much better. I used to have to back off the throttle on every swell, now I roll over them...

    Potential Price of my Seafarer

We have different goals. I will be chasing bluefin in this boat and I had one goal: visibility. I got it in spades. I have 180 degrees of visibility through the windows. I will see jumpers out of my peripheral vision, something that would _never_ be possible through Eisenglass. As for the...

    Potential Price of my Seafarer

I beg to differ, I started with the hardtop and went to a pilot house, it is night and day better. MUCH better visibility, less clutter, looks great. I would have paid a lot more for my boat if this had been an option.

    Potential Price of my Seafarer

I'm the buddy with the pilot house, and yes, while expensive, it's really sweet. I agree with Peter, I think 40's as well.
