    330 Express Questions

Mine, 2007 is 10 gallons. Shallow storage bins = napkins and such. Certainly not the most useful space ever designed.

    My 330 Express Experience

BTW, one other observation, I have bumper holders in the bow on the vertical for the rail. I have taken to storing the bumpers in the v-berth because they block the forward visibility considerable. You just aren't high enough to see over them and I can't see through them. If I move them back...

    My 330 Express Experience

My bad: or at least my poor reading comprehension. My numbers are statute, as I use mph instead of knots and nautical miles. I am aware as a boater I should be using knots and nautical but I like to look at the higher mph and better fuel burn. It makes me feel better when I am running!

    My 330 Express Experience

Your Fuel burn is way off. My '07 with 250s gets 1.0, I've seen 1.1 to 1.2 on the best of conditions super light and as low as what you described when the opposite is true. I had an '06 previously, same numbers. Grady chooses not to put any storage below deck (below water line). Everything...

HPDI 200 - how smooth should it run at low RPM?

Since most of the engines we are talking about (all) are not premixed, there is no benefit to Yamalube "preventing condensation in the gas tank. "

HPDI 200 - how smooth should it run at low RPM?

2X the oil. I was a religious Yamaha fanatic, ring free/yamalube, but I switched over to a synthetic oil as I found the yamalube created too much buildup and the synthetic burned cleaner.

Transom Rebuild - The Saga Begins

My friend n Florida has the same issue with a lift kept boat. Freezing is not the issue. A poor design and workmanship in that area is the problem.

Transom Rebuild - The Saga Begins

Thanks for keeping us up to date and good luck with the repair. An FYI to those thinking it is the freeze cycle: Although I am sure it can exacerbate it, my friend in Florida, with a lift kept boat has the problem as bad as any I have seen, so it doesn't require freezing. When I removed my...

Calling anyone who has successfully applied hull striping.

2X using the soapy water and removing a couple feet worth at a time. I would have thought the professional would have come across this in the past. Call Grady customer service if you advice on their application process.

    2002 F225 Trim/Tilt Motor DB Electric

"I'm not expecting the same quality" You may get better quality. Some of those OEM Yamahas rusted out like they were made out of tin. I am a huge OEM guy but couldn't justify it in this application. Aftermarket all the way.

Transom Rebuild - The Saga Begins

Absolutely the weak link in the build, by far, and Grady hasn't done anything about it other than change from aluminum to plastic. It is certainly harder/more expensive/more time consuming to glass it over but the boats aren't cheap and are supposed to be known for their quality. When I took...

Used Marlin Sea Trial handling & Fisher Panda Generator

if the wheel wobbles, then the bushing is getting worn I replaced my tilt mechanism (front half of the unit). Made a big difference, common problem. If it is difficult to steer it could be tight engines (you disconnect the steerring and move motors by hand to check) It can also be in the...

    30 Marlin with F225's

Run them at 1000 + rpm higher than that. You can cruise at 30 and hit near 40 wot. Not underpowered. That doesn't mean that 300's aren't better but 225's push it just fine. A 30 mph cruise is pretty decent for a 30 ft cabin boat.

Hydraulic steering a little stiff, normal or not?

Very informative, thank you. Although you may have just added to my to-do list, it sounds like a winter project I will have to tackle!

    Fuel Tank Question

It is EXTREMELY important to realize that there is a significant amount of gas that you will not be able to burn so although there were 60 gallons left in the tank, 30 of them could easily be unusable. I made the mistake of running my rear tank to empty (33 express), knowing that I had at least...

    Vacuflush Head Help

Unfortunately, I am not sure about your discharge light. I will check my system when I get to the boat over the next day or so. The level indicator lights all work off of their own senders-one for each light). They are basically on/off floats (like the gas senders - wema? without levels). I...

    Vacuflush Head Help

wow, you guys are really all over the place. I have been through every single part of the vacuflush system and am well versed with them. First of all, the bowl is running dry because you aren't getting a good seal between the ball valve and gasket and almost certainly can be fixed by opening...
