    No power to onboard charger

Hi all, My Freedom 307 onboard charger is not getting any power. I assumed there would be a fuse or circuit breaker somewhere between the charger and the shore power connection but I cannot locate it. I have no other AC accessories on the boat. Previously when I would plug in the shore power...

How to trouble shoot rocker switch

I also suspect the switch is bad. Which is easy to replace. But sometimes floats get hung up on those pumps causing them to run.

Floating boat lifts for Freedom 275

Agree that is way too much money. There is not nearly as much hardware on a floating lift. Just an air pump. No multiple motors or pilings. No cables and gearboxes. I would keep shopping

    Freedom 307 hardtop support repair

Yes lucky there is access to see the bottom of both rear posts. This allowed me to confirm there was no wiring inside. The port side had a wire loom secured to one of the post screws. When I first saw it I thought it was coming out of the top. But wasn’t. They took off the mid supports to allow...

    Freedom 307 hardtop support repair

No worries. I’m fully capable of doing something stupid. I think the issue is more of the lateral side to side support. You would really need a larger side post because you can’t put up big 45* cross braces. Those rear uprights take a lot of force. The front has different geometry.

    Freedom 307 hardtop support repair

I sent them pics of the cracks. It was out of warranty and they offered some repair suggestions. Sounded like they buy the frames from a supplier. But at the end of the day it was $600 to have all welded. I did the paint myself. just happy to be able head out again with the worry of it breaking...

    Sureshade PTX

I don’t think that is accurate. Their website says the PTX model has been tested up to 40mph. I have the factory version and recall reading somewhere in the manual you drive with it extended.

    Freedom 307 hardtop support repair

Yes it looks factory. I can notice the slight color difference but doubt anyone else would even see it.

    Freedom 307 hardtop support repair

The paint was from Orbit industries in TX. See attached pics. Oyster White was the color I also got the small touch up vial for spot repairs around screw heads and such.

    Freedom 307 hardtop support repair

After a trip to the Abacos last summer I noticed some cracks in the rear upper support tubes and at their bases. We had a pretty nasty tight 3-4ft head sea with an East wind for 4 hours straight. Boat has the sunshade option and I added a 7 rod holder from GW Performance bolted to the top. It...

    Trolling Motor on GW 235?

May be apples to oranges… but for my 307 there was no factory mount. My install shop had a 1/2-5/8 thick AL plate cut and powder coated. The plate was fixed to the deck. The TM mounting block bolted to the plate. This gave it an overhand that was needed and place to mount the block. I think he...

Freedom 307 hard top support leak = bad wiring connection

Yes it is factory wiring. It was in the loom you can see behind it. The wiring was fine. Its the location of the connector directly under the leaking top post that caused the issue.

Freedom 307 hard top support leak = bad wiring connection

Had intermittent and then terminal failure of my sunshade. They have a great online “University “ on YouTube to reset/calibrate your motors. Anyway followed that and got some problems with voltage. Replaced the sunshade control box. No change. Replaced the helm switch. No change. Stumped...

    Updating stereo on boat 228

It was mentioned earlier but I can’t say enough good things about the Skar audio speakers. Their CS is great too. You can buy about 3 pairs for what JL cost and you won’t notice the difference in sound…only in your wallet.

Anyone added a trolling motor (salt water) to Fisherman (216)?

I recommend calling or emailing Grady customer service. They have been very helpful to me. I upgraded my standard stereo and needed the location of the rigging tubes and wiring. They sent me this which was a huge help in running new power cables and speaker wires
