    Spirit 175 trailer

I can't tell you what to buy, but can tell you what not to buy. Do not buy a trailer with Knott brakes or axles. They are proprietary and do not allow for the adoption of any other brake systems. I and many others have experienced locked calipers and significant noise on brand new trailers from...

sail fish splash well drain tubes.

I think there are only 2 sizes and yours will be the bigger ones. Someone in here should be able to give you a measurement. You could also email GW customer service.

    First time out this year

I too have had a battery terminal that looked good, but wasn't. Lesson learned. Since you ran WOT, you might have dislodged some goop in the fuel system. I'd try some more Italian-tune-up runs and see if it clears out. Good thing you didn't pick up more water than you did! The foot injury is no...

Who has worked this hard for a hardtop?

Finally a great day to enjoy it!

Who has worked this hard for a hardtop?

Very nice Don. You really have a lot invested in your foundation and now have a building that will last several lifetimes with maintenance. That wasn't in my budget at the time. I'll just have to work a little harder to preserve my posts.

    3 batteries to 2

1⁰ I have not investigated if that can be an issue. I thought I read about this being ok in another thread on a different forum. BMS cut off is a non issue on the Ionic dual purpose battery. It is a 125ah starting battery.

    3 batteries to 2

Long story short - I have not. I was able to revive my lead acid batteries with a new smart charger, but will likely need to make a change at the end of this season. I've researched extensively issue #1. Food for thought: if your starboard engine battery bank is setting off low voltage alarms...

Who has worked this hard for a hardtop?

Looks like you've done this before?! You're right. All that light was really nice.

Who has worked this hard for a hardtop?

My guess is you used a stud framed wall with a footer/foundation below grade. Mine is a post framed building with posts going below the frost line sitting on concrete pads. Different ways to skin a cat. Your method potentially will hold up better in the long run. When I'm 90-100, I might need to...

Who has worked this hard for a hardtop?

On the day of the lift I had 10. On the framing days it was me and up to 2 others. Usually high school kids. My brother was going to be with me for the better part of the week, but shredded his shoulder 2 weeks before. Yes. Weather was a factor planning. Thankfully ma nature cut me a break.

Who has worked this hard for a hardtop?

I would have enjoyed the challenge if I had more time and manpower. It was a grueling week and I probably have another 30 hours worth of work. Thankfully most of it is much easier than the 1st 80 hours.

Who has worked this hard for a hardtop?

I wished it was that easy. It was moved in ⅜" increments to 40". I'll let you do the math on the number of steps!:)

Double ram bottle jacks. If anyone needs 2 ton bottle jacks, let me know. I've got a couple.;)

Who has worked this hard for a hardtop?

My boat has come full circle in the past 3 years. When I bought the boat 3 years ago, it had the hardtop. My garage only had a 10' door, so it had to come off. I hated to do it and was chastised for the move, but it had to be done. Thanks to a generous forum member, I was gifted a full Bimini...

    Gelcoat Restoration

Looks amazing. I have wondered how many times you can polish that deep without going through the gel coat. Hopefully I never find out! On a tangent, what do you all use to cut salt/mineral deposits off the hull before waxing? I thought I had it stripped with Dawn, only to see water spots later...

How do you raise and lower this light?

I've tried to adjust it to do the same thing, but it won't. I wonder if it once had a spring that is no more.

How do you raise and lower this light?

Do remember which one you bought? I was hoping this one was friction or spring/tooth interlock type set up that would enable me to simply lift or lower it. That appears to not be the case. The base on the factory unit is pathetically small. Because it can move so easily, and wouldn't surprise me...

How do you raise and lower this light?

I figured something had to be missing. It didn't make sense to need tools to raise or lower a light mounted on top of a hardtop.

    281 Coastal Explorer Observations

I agree 100%. However you can wish for a fix in one hand and... you know how the rest goes. I paid a lot of money for my f150. The build quality is atrocious, but it is still a better performing truck in most categories that matter to me then everything else out there. Ford took care of some of...
