    Cabin cover

Well this is an interesting thread, I have had my Seafarer for a couple years and always wondered what the tracks were for that run the full length under the hard top. Is the track for some sort of winter/travel cover to protect the canvas?

What a difference 4 months makes.

Hmmm thanks for the advice, there is a ship yard north of me, I think I will get a quote from them when I’m ready to move ahead with removing the anti fouling paint.

    What Grady to get?

I originally looked at a 208 as an upgrade to my Campion 542 that I had. My office was beside a large marina so I would walk the docks at lunch and drool at the various Grady White boats. I soon started looking for a 248 Voyaguer after fishing on one on the West Coast of the island, I was blown...

What a difference 4 months makes.

How hard was it to remove the bottom paint? It’s something I would like to do to my Seafarer in the next few years, thanks.

Overnighter 204 wiring and cables behind cockpit

From my experience with my 1999 228 Seafarer, all those panels come out to gain access behind. I would start by removing the screws in those small panels first and then you should see other brackets to remove the main panel. Keep in mind that it all went together at the factory after all the...

WTB more like what to buy!?

There shouldn’t be any open transoms on newer Gulfstreams that I’m aware of.

    Help Pros/Cons 2001 Voyager vs 2003 Seafarer

I was on a 248 about 6 years ago on a fishing trip and I couldn’t believe how smooth of a ride it was on the west coast of Vancouver Island at Nootka Sound in a 2 to 3 foot chop, velvet smooth. That trip started my quest for a Grady which I settled for a 228. The 1999 Grady brochure states that...

    Cabin cushion recover

Yes I’m amazed how long the original fabric has lasted on my boat, I’ve only had the boat for the last 2 1/2 years. I did use the upholstery attachment on our Bissell carpet cleaner and shampooed them about 4 times when I first got the boat to clean them over the winter.

    Sign, Sealed and Delivered!

It was a fishing trip about 6 years ago on a 1999 248 Voyager that sold me on the quality of Grady White boats and it started my quest for a Grady. I settled on a 1999 228 Seafarer but the 248 was my first choice if I could have found one, the ride is unbelievable, congratulations.

    FS 2000 228 w/2005 F225

I see it has an after market hardtop, does it come with the full cabin enclosure and drop curtain? If not, then those are about a $5000 extra to make it an all weather boat.

    2001 grady 208 adventure

I originally had my Lowrance chart plotter in the glove box of my 228 and then I moved it flush a year ago. My vhf and marine Alpine stereo is about in the overhead compartment.

    Suzuki 225Hp vs 250Hp

I have a 1999 Seafarer with a 2012 DF250 and have had nothing but great performance with the DF250, I can’t really comment on the performance of the DF225. Lots of people, fuel and gear doesn’t seem to affect the performance of the outboard, lots of low and mid range power, just great engines...
