    Probably about 3.5 months to go here. Actually just put some boat stuff up in the attic yesterday that's been taking up space in the basement. To be taken out again in the spring.

    Towing with Bimini top - Freedom 225

    My old boat had a top like that, I would remove the bolts to fold it completely down for the winter. However, when trailering I would leave it up like in your picture and never had a problem. With that being said, I didn't have to trailer it nearly as far as you plan on.

    I use toilet bowl cleaner as well. Working in sections I keep the hose handy and immediately spray the trailer if any drips down, as well as constantly rinsing everything.

    Agreed, dropped mine off on Sunday for winter storage. Won't see her again for around 5 months. Last picture I took before dropping her off.

    Looked at a 228 today...

    I came from a SH 172 to the GW 228 so it's a great step forward. Don't get disheartened and keep looking. :)

    I would paint it and not even think twice. As for the white bottom paint you might want to do some research first as I find it hard to believe they stay white for long.

    I don't think it's just the weight of the tower that is the issue, but also the potentially very large man in it. Not to mention any side forces that may be incurred.

    I go with a full tank and never had a problem. I know others say the same with empty tanks so...o_O

    Saddest day of the year

    I was hoping to get out this weekend (possibly last trip) but it was too windy. So for now the boat stays in for a few more weeks with the hopes I can use it next weekend.

    228 Windlass install completed.

    Someone is going to have to go forward eventually once you install that safety. But not having to push the anchor down will still be nice.
