    New 228 coming?

Right now in NY (Long Island) the water is around 67-68. In the beginning of the season when I launch the boat it's mid-40's.

    New 228 coming?

I find that hard to believe given the popularity of CC's and DC's right now.

    Scuppers and Thru Hulls

Sounds like you already have your answer if water is coming in through the scuppers? I'd pull it and take care of that before your boat becomes a reef.

    Hull damage

I wouldn't buy one with that type of motor in the first place. Secondly, if they didn't bother to repair that damage, what else did they not take care of?

Just need to brag a minute.

This. It's hard to retain workers right now and even harder to get new ones. One of my friends just got a 10k raise for no reason other than that his company doesn't want him to leave.

    Towing Help

No way you are getting the F150 Lightning by just walking in the dealer. The wait list is almost two years long. I was one of the first to put down a deposit for one and then when the ordering banks opened the dealer told me they were charging 10k over sticker, I promptly told them where to...

    Voyager 248 towing

Max towing capacity on the Tacoma is 6,800 lbs. You are either going to be really close or over. So no, I wouldn't do it unless incredibly short distance, as in the ramp is around the corner.

    Seafare swim platform recommendations

I had the type he shows on a previous boat and the brackets were never an issue, in fact I didn't even notice them except when cleaning. Weight rating was never an issue either, but everyone is different in that area of course.

    228 SeaDek

I can't speak for Ky, but sadly I am up at this time everyday, weekend or not. I inherited this annoying trait from my father.

Charging your boats batteries with an extention cord at the dock?

If your battery can't survive a month (or whatever) without needing to be charged it's time for a new battery.

    Wash Interior 204C

When my boat was detailed this spring I ask the detailer about that since I was getting some mold growth inside the cabin despite using desiccant pails (damprid) when in storage. He said he would spray it with a 10% bleach solution; took a couple days to air out but it worked perfectly and looks...

I don't flush because I'm on a mooring. Millions of other boats in a similar situation that have put thousands of hours on their boats without a problem. Sound the alarms!

    Flare Disposal

Learned that last part as a kid when we would find half used flares in the road that the police would use to control an accident scene. We'd take them home to "play" with.

    Flare Disposal

https://www.boatingsafety.com/page/FlareEducation At this time, boaters should take the the following steps to look for a Flare Disposal Program in your local area. Contact the household hazardous waste management facility in your area and ask if they accept flares for disposal. This may be a...
