Here is my workaround to run the genset inside my shop. Same works for the AC discharge. 1 1/4" PVC with 4 jigsaw blade cuts and a healthy amount of plastic tape to hold the hose. fitting on the filter helps with clean water.

I took the starter off and bench tested it. Seems fine. Also put the continuity test on the little round fuse and the tester gave a solid tone. Traded emails with FP staff. Hopefully more info tomorrow.

I had the aluminum plate powder coated. It turns out Pacific Stainless is a mile from my house and they do great powder coating. They put it with a large job today. Here is before and after. I still need to get lettering done.

I switched the open white plastic connection to a DEUTSCH type. It should last a long time. I'm switching from metal spacers on the plastic shield to threaded nylon. One less thing to corrode.

This is my first time using copper connection bars. The inside of the bolt holes were shiny copper but the surface shows some green. Should I try to put some solder around the bolts holes to "tin" it? Or just wire brush it, install and spray with HD Corrosion X?

Ordered the hydraulic crimper. I've been wanting one anyway for boat, truck and travel trailer. If you think boat wiring is bad, don't look at travel trailers.

As an aside, one item I always check when I open up anything on the Marlin is the sealing applied to edge material. Here you can see that Grady sealed the edge grain of the plywood. After my transom I'm particularly sensitive to these issues.
