    425 on gradywhite marlin

Single or twins? Twins will exceed the HP rating for the boat and the transom will definitely need to be reinforced. New controls and some steering changes as well. Even at that my guess is the boat will sit very low with that much weight on the transom. A single may actually be slightly...

Sideshift bow thruster to a Grady

The trick on a 232 with a single is to not be afraid to give it throttle in close quarters. Normally it’s best to have a soft touch but to get that boat to spin around and move you need to shift a lot and give it some gas to make it do what you want in the wind (Just watch Bill or Will on any...

Sideshift bow thruster to a Grady

I agree with above. If you are going to do a thruster I would do a real one. That looks “Hinkey” and I can see all sorts of damage to it possible. Is your 232 a single screw? A 232 shouldn’t need a thruster if it has twins. Are you at POE? Have you tried raising the canvas “Smilies” prior...

    Add seating 360 Express

Later models were available with a fold down seat along the gunnels in the cockpit similar to the stern seat. I would ask GW if it can be added to an existing boat or something of similar design.

Used Grady White Shopping- 24 ' range Recommendations and Insight

Depends really. Believe it or not the 23’ Gulfstream is a “Bigger” boat than the 24’ Voyager/Offshore because of the beam. It runs more like a 25 footer. It’s a GREAT boat. That said, with a single screw it can be a chore to handle and it rides better with twins. However, lot’s of happy...

    Express 330 with 300s?

I don’t know but the serial number should have a code for the model year?

    Express 330 with 300s?

Yes, but I am pretty sure if it is a 2016 or later production date (Usually stamped on the bracket somewhere) then it is a series “C”. Serial number will definitely be able to tell you.

    Express 330 with 300s?

PS: if they are 2017 350’s they are series “C” which makes them a LOT better that the earlier versions. Series “C” started with the 2016 model year (I think). They are still going to require the flywheel swap (On Yamaha’s dime) but other than that the “C” series have been pretty good engines...

    Express 330 with 300s?

The 300’s are plenty - depending on how YOU will use the boat. I had a 2003 330 - with 225’s. Ask anyone who has NEVER owned the boat and they’ll tell you it was underpowered. For some that could be true. However, I am an experienced boater in most all conditions, ran that boat well offshore...

WTB Express 360 any suggestions or comments?

I was as well. Had that boat for 11 years. 2 guys, 6 guys, full fuel , 1/2 fuel, loaded for offshore or not…always ran the same. Wind, tide, and sea conditions would affect it but not load.

    How does beam affect ride?

Numerous factors here including how he was running the boat (Trim, tabs, etc.)…..However…..Without question the Marlin will be night and day difference from your boat. Beam smooths out the ride in a head sea and , depending on the hull design, can also smooth out the ride in a beam sea….BUT...

WTB Express 360 any suggestions or comments?

Whether it is underpowered or not really depends on how you use it. I had a 360 with trip 250’s which is marginally more HP for the weight differential. It moved fine for a big, heavy, 36’ express boat……But it certainly wasn’t a rocket ship. Cruise was 30-31 MPH at about .8 MPG. Could get as...

    new to boating-

You want the biggest door you can put in. How it sits on the trailer, electronics, etc will all add height. Radar, a spotlight, FLIR, etc. My 306 on a hydraulic trailer was 14’. Go bigger. Very little reason not to.

Advice? Going to check out this Tournament 192

130 is way underpowered for that hull. Other comments also spot on.

The only better boat than a Grady is a bigger Grady and I'm going bigger

Congrats! It’s a fantastic boat and will do nearly anything you ask it to. I had one on my way “Up the GW food chain” and I have the same hull now (Canyon though) on my way back down. I love it. Real tank. Don’t give the handling a second thought. The twins make it a piece of cake. Best...

    Grady 360 Express 2008-12

Now I’ll really flip you out….I‘m pretty sure that 06 was my boat. I sold it to an older gentleman who, despite several lessons given to him by me and numerous phone calls….Just couldn’t handle it. I think he sold it to you. I was the original owner and, in fact, was part of the customer...

    Grady 360 Express 2008-12

A couple of considerations for you: 1. The only twin configuration for that boat (Original power) for those years will be 350’s. They will be either Gen 1 or 2. 1 had many problems, 2 had a few less. Gen 3’s (2016) are pretty much trouble free except for having to replace the flywheel’s...

    Looking to purchase 2005/2006 Gulfstream

It’s a really big boat for a 23 footer because of the wide beam. It’s a fantastic boat….But, get twins……The boat runs totally different with twins vs. single screw…..Around the dock and at sea……Get the twins……

    Few questions from new member.

I had a 2006 360 for 11 years. It’s still out on the water with no issues that I am aware of. Older Grady’s can have transom issues just like any other boat but the reports are overblown. A well-cared for boat will be fine and to my knowledge there were no changes to the 360 hull in 2008...

    Help with Garman Sonar

If it is a late model Garmin display it should say the transducer model in the bottom left corner of the screen when on the sonar page. Also, check your settings and make sure you have it set to display depth in all modes.
