    2023 Adventure 218

After seeing this thread I compared the 218 and 215. The 218 is roughly 500 lbs heavier than the 215. I think you would regret not going with the 250 on a 218. The 200hp on a 218 wot is 39mph. On a 215 it’s 42-43mph.

    2023 Adventure 218

Which F250 did you order? XSB? I ordered a 215 last week which is the same hull I believe, also with a 250. Interested in your experience and congratulations!

1997 Seafarer 22 question - Water coming in from stern deck drains

i had a 2004 Seafarer 228 that would get an 1” or 2 of water in the cockpit when you had a couple guys in the back of the boat. Also had a ~2015 Tournament 225 that did the same thing. On that boat, Grady supplied scupper plugs. Both of those boats were bracket boats which likely exacerbates...

Hoping for lift advice - 208 Adventure

Yes, they need to be moved so the hull isn’t resting on the cradle cross beams. When I’m setting my lift up for a new boat I measure the distance between the new boat stringers and set my lift cradle bunks to be centered under the stringers. I think this supports the hull ideally and you don’t...

    Boat transport

I used Caj Flynn to move a Grady from Pompano to Charleston using their trailer. He loaded it, prepped it (taped hatches shut, etc.) and launched it here. I don’t know if he does west coast swings. 303 570 4325

Thanks! I dealt with Kenny at Seels Mt. Pleasant back in 2004 and would see him at the boat show every year, so I went back to that location even though Sav. Hwy. is much closer to where I live. Plus, they had a 215 I could crawl over there. Unfortunately, Kenny is sick and in the hospital, so I...

    Charging a battery

As another poster mentioned, If you have ac power where you store your boat invest in an onboard battery charger. It doesn’t have to be a high amperage unit. 5 amps per channel is plenty. I‘ve had the Noco Genius on a couple boats and they’ve worked fine. Also had a Guest brand that worked well...

BassPro has a good sale going on for Dad’s day. 12” echomap UHD with GT54 transducer package is $1600, $1200 off. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/garmin-echomap-ultra-126sv-fish-finder-chartplotter-combo-with-gt54-transducer The 10” version with GT54 is on sale for $1,000. Pretty good deals…

    Charging a battery

Perhaps a wives tale, but I’ve always thought to never change the battery switch position while the engine is running. In your scenario, I would go to 1+2 or “both”, start the engine and go boating. You’ll be charging both batteries so half the available current going to each battery, but if the...

I installed 2 Raymarine 6” displays in the helm cabinet. One was a gps and the other was sonar. Don’t know if they were replaced obviously, but if they were still there then it could be.

Thanks for the welcome! I did buy the Seafarer new in early summer of 2004. I bought it from the same dealer that I purchased yesterday. At the time we were living mid-state SC and often trailered to the coast for weekend cruises and some fishing. During one of those trips in the boat prior, a...

Hey folks! After lurking a bit joined the forum today. Certainly a wealth of knowledge here. Much appreciated. Hopefully this is the correct forum to post this. What prompted me was I placed a factory order for a Freedom 215 yesterday. This will be my third Grady, the first being a Seafarer 228...
