    Transom rebuild

5200 isn't going to stop further cracking and somebody has to remove it at some point (which is a major pain), the life seal will be fine.

    1984 seafarer transom crack

I hate to disagree but with the crack in the second picture and the horizontal cracks where the splashwell meets the transom and the fact that you said the crack widens when you push down on the motor... I would rebuild that transom before I used the boat again.

    Axle repaired!

I feel your pain. Little compensation but you did the right thing just ordering a new line. I once tried flaring a brake line. For hours. I could never get it right. I bet there's guys that could do it in a second but I ain't one of them. Stay on it. You will get there and when you boat that...

    Axle repaired!

Don't know if you have tried this but they make a rebuild kit for that actuator. I had a Titan 10 and along with rebuilding the brakes I did the actuator and they worked great. Might be worth a shot.

    HELP...Transom Swell - Express 360

Varies by region but numbers I've seen range from 4-7,000. Swelling is not normal and is indicative of a fair amount of water penetration. A rather expensive boat like the 360 having had a transom replacement would in my mind be a less desirable boat compared to one in good factory condition...

Adventure 208 Bow rail mods for wishbone outrigger mounts

I noticed that too. That's the kind of setup that it wouldn't matter how tired or drunk you were, it's going on straight. Very nice trailer.

    248 Voyager Value

The motor is virtually worthless. But, it may run a few more years. I say it's worthless because if you need to do any work on it you will likely break bolts. Pita. And frustrating/expensive. Same for the trailer. Figure 1-1.5k to get it roadworthy unless it needs axles. As far as the boat...

Ok All you '93-'96 Adventure owners

I liked the Garmin 94SV so I made it fit. I used the original glove box door as a sunshield. I mounted the vhf in the cabin.

Got Cabin Fever Due to Virus?

It is. Our go to as it's a quick 15 minute ride from the ramp that's 5 minutes from our home. The next few weeks we'll probably go several times a week just to get out of the house.

Got Cabin Fever Due to Virus?

Spent the day at Three Rooker Bar with my wife and daughter yesterday. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Rooker_Island Water is around 75, sun was blazing and although there were lot's of boats everyone was practicing social distancing. Good times!

    Eventful Day

You are a brave man. There is no way I would have the nerve to change a tire under those conditions. Glad you made it home safely.

    new member intro

Beautiful boat!! Looks like it was stored in a climate controlled warehouse for 40 years. Where did it spend it's life?

My adventure has a rotten transom. I knew it when I bought it and used that as leverage on the price. I am not concerned. I helped a buddy install a motor on a 90's Grady years ago and I was impressed with how thick the glass in the transom was. What I did was pull the motor and then drilled...

    engine lift

Not to sound critical but whenever I have had someone tell me they "think" it's this part or that I know I may as well just hand them a signed blank check. It sounds like a ground to me. Trim motors are very durable in my experience but I have had grounds get corroded from just sitting. I would...

208 Adventure Custom steering for more room

At first I was wondering what you were talking about because it's a new boat and your mod looks factory. Then I saw the black cover plate and realized you moved the wheel to where the compass was. Great idea and well executed. Love it!

    208 and engine size

I have 93 208 with 2 stroke Yam 150. My opinion of this combo depends on the sea conditions. The typical steady 2's with the occasional 3 short Gulf of Mexico chop the 150 is plenty because you can't really go much faster than 23-27 mph or else you're launching it off a wave or pounding too...

How do you carry spare fuel?

Probably buying extra gas for her generator before the hurricane hits. People go absolutely crazy here in Florida when a hurricane is threatening.
