    Anyone tried a 3d printer?

I have stayed away because the last thing I need is another hobby. Sounds like a great early Christmas present for yourself, be sure to post anything you make with it.

    Trailer question

Everyone has their preferences but life is easier with torsion axles in my experience. Stainless hardware is a great upgrade as well as Kodiak brakes and isolation anywhere steel is in contact with aluminum. Good luck!

    Salt Away?

I have done the blue barrel filled with water and 4 gallons of vinegar flush on a couple of new to me motors. Start and run the motor till the tell tale stream is really hot, around 15-20 minutes. Shut it down, let the water cool an hour and do it again. After five or six idling periods in the...

    Thru Hull Hose Replacement

It's been 8 months so I can't quite remember the exact process. I just looked as it was 8 months ago so hard to remember but you can access both ends of the forward deck drain hose through the pie plate opening but it's easier to get to one of them through the underseat storage box openings...

    Thru Hull Hose Replacement

On mine the two floor drains by the seats and the live well and fish box drains are 1" hose. My bilge pump was 1 1/8" and the two rear scuppers are 1 1/2" I used clear reinforced hose on the drains and bilge pump and fuel fill hose on the scuppers as I did the fuel tank around the same time...

    Thru Hull Hose Replacement

I did it last spring. A nut driver and or a 1/4" drive ratchet with extensions worked on the clamps. Removing the pie plate frames gives you a larger opening. I cut the hose off fittings I kept and just broke off all the plastic thru hulls that I subsequently replaced with stainless. I removed...

What the heck are you catching?

Cool. I had a 266 for 7 years, 2 boats ago. I loved the ride but for me it's too much work anymore to maintain that size boat. Here's my fave sail pic.

Halfhitch nice sail. Is that a world cat your on?

    ox66 or not?

I've owned several Yamaha 2 strokes and do my own work up to rebuilding. If it's running well with decent fuel economy that 95 a cylinder is no problem. 110 would be better, more normal but the gauge and the method can affect the reading so no worries. Make sure it's propped so it can hit max...

    Plastic Fuel Tanks

I put an 80 gallon Moeller poly tank in my boat around 7 months ago. It's setup perfectly for the 208 and was just 495.00 shipped from Moeller on Amazon. The pictures don't show it but Moeller molds baffles into the bottom of the tank. I like it, no more corrosion worries.

    2004 adventure 208. Wood ?

You must be really sensitive if that's all it takes to make you want to puke. Any other statements I shouldn't make so that I don't upset your tender stomach?

I'm not upset Dennis. Perhaps I misunderstood your humor. No worries.

    2004 adventure 208. Wood ?

I was wrong. He posted on tht on 9/30 at 4:55 and got 7 measured responses in 3 hours. Hence the lack of response here. He's a member there since 2016 but obviously took the time to join this board to talk directly to owners. I experienced the same thing on the W/C board when I bought a 26...

    2004 adventure 208. Wood ?

It's entirely unnecessary to be rude here, especially to a new member. If you post on THT you will get 15 answers in an hour and a half. I'm sure you're a nice guy Dennis but you came off pretty harsh. Cjmac I am running a 208 with a wet transom and have no intention of fixing it until I...

    Seat glides

I probably have the same slides as you. I cut 4 pieces out of starboard and used a 1/4" straight router bit to cut the groove. They work perfectly. If you have the tools save the money.

    Safety Equipment

Great list but unless I missed it you forgot a sea anchor. If you are offshore, loose power and the wind kicks up deploying a sea anchor holds the bow to and slows your drift. I bought one on eBay years ago and occasionally use it to slow my drift when bottom fishing. Rig it with some barrel...

    Huddle up. It's decision time.

I like your plan. And the couple times I moved up to a 6 foot longer boat I was very happy with the decision. Post pics of the 330 after the dust settles.

Ditched the cooler and I feel great

I'm a little concerned about the no extra beer cooler... Can there ever be too many beers?
