It does slope slightly aft. But looking at this old pic with bottom paint. Not enough to make any real difference. Ugh! Predicament!

I dont think I can raise them. Maybe an inch at most. The hose is already pretty flat. out the side might give me more clearance from the waterline.. Ill take a look this weekend.

No intentions of the boat being wet slipped again. Its in/out service right now. Stored on the hard. Next season will likely get moved next door to the boatel. Covered storage rack.

    off season repairs planning.

I knew going in my transom needs replaced. Patched it up for the time being and its solid. This upcoming winter or next it will be getting replaced. By default, I'm a planner. Down the road I plan to repower with 4 stroke twins. Seriously considering not reinstalling the transom...

Do I suck or is it my boat?

I aired out my 264 a few weeks ago. Wasn't intentional, but it happened... Heard the engine rev off a washing machine wave. Nailed the landing! LOL

    Slide snaps.

I have a few broken snaps for my enclosure, cushions. Most are an easy fix. Bought snap pliers and a large assortment of snaps. But the side snaps along the glass, are they standard snaps attached to the little slide brackets? Or do you purchase them already together? Can't...

Jack Plates for 1990 Grady 28 Marlin

Manual would be my suggestion. Hydraulic have their place but mostly used on shallow water boats... flats boats or bass boats. Since you are just trying to raise the motor slightly and leave it there, manual would be the way to go.

    Rope Splicing

I highly doubt it was undersized..... It would take a hell of a lot of pressure to snap an anchor rode. Unless it was 1/8 line. The only real possibility was something sharp underwater that chaffed the line. what size boat? anchor? and line are you using?

    Rope Splicing

YouTube. Its an easy splice. (harder due to 8 plait) should only take about 30 mins.

200 miles over the past 3 days.

It's a long run from up here. LOL!! Bucket list fish is a cobia on my own. I did catch a few small snapper blues just south of the target ship (buoy 68) . Little a-holes destroyed all my live spot. I did see a few Gradys on the water. One may have been you.
