    Skippy, While you're in there you might as well replace the fuel line and sending unit gasket. Not a difficult or expensive task just for the piece of mind.

    I've got the same boat. Replaced wash down and a few bulbs. Need to do tilt/trim seals on my Yam 225 4s. PM me if you need wiring pics etc. as I have the boat here at the house.

    My understanding is that if it's reading full it's either an open circuit, no resistance, or a bad ground. Check and clean the ground first then check the resistance of the gauge. The make and model number should be on the top so you can then research what values you should have. Please...

    I had twin 200 Evinrude Direct Injection 2004 models on my old boat. New boat has 225 Yamaha 4 stroke and won't have anything but from now on. My advice to you is Yamaha 4S. Also Suzuki is big with the commercial guys and some but not most of the guides locally. It really depends on the area...

    DennisG, Solid information. FWIW I think I'll go back to the incandescent bulbs in my navigation fixtures and keep the LED's in my cockpit lights until I change the fixtures to LED specific. Thx for your detailed reply.

    I also replaced the mast bulb (all around white) and it is my opinion that the are more recognizable as navigational lights versus the "softer/dimmer/warmer" incandescent type bulb. Pics when it warm up.
