    Fuel gauge main/aux switch?

The latter. It simply switches the fuel gauge reading from one tank to the other.

Busted for riding on the bow

Sorry about bringing this thread back from the dead, but Florida recently changed its laws regarding where people can sit/stand while the boat is underway. Passengers can now do just about anything they want (including bow riding, standing on gunnels, standing on the hardtop, etc) just so long...

    good polishing wax

You might want to try something like this first. As a general detailing rule, you want to use the least abrasive product possible. Try this before bringing out the big guns. http://3mmarine.com/products/compounds- ... 36109.html

    2006 seafarer navigation bulbs

Mine are much brighter than they were stock, even with the lenses on.

    2006 seafarer navigation bulbs

I bought these from SuperBright LED's for my front nav lights. "1142-x15-xV: 1142 LED Bulb - Single Intensity Dual Contact 15 LED 1142-W15: 12VDC Cool White". Much brighter than oem. Dang, or was it these? Going through my old orders I may have gotten them mixed up. "WLED-WHP5 Cool White"

    LIVEWELL BAIT PUMP

My 2004 228 uses a Shurflo piranha cartridge style pump and, although I have had to replace the cartridge several times in the last 10 years, I have been happy with it. It always makes a ton of noise well in advance of dying. ツ

    freshwater cockpit shower

I'm not familiar with the 282, but my 228 uses a Scandvik shower hose and head. I am pretty sure you can buy just the head. Does it look like this? https://www.amazon.com/Scandvik-10283-T ... t+Scandvik

    Grady 232 vs. 228

My 228 comes in at about 6500 lbs, with trailer, mostly loaded and ready to fish. The 232 weighs just over 1,000 lbs more than the 228 before you add motors. I think you would be pushing the limits with your current truck. It has a much bigger, nicer cabin though if you plan on sleeping on it.

    Grady 232 vs. 228

The 232 is a much bigger and heavier boat than the 228. What is the towing capacity of your truck?

    2006 228 switches

I'm a big fan of Clorox Cleanup for mildew issues on the boat. Like Doc said though, be cautious using it on the backside of the switches. A little should go a long way.

How low should a 228 sit in the water?

My 228 scuppers sit right at the waterline. With the livewell full they are halfway under water.

Detailing details please. And missing gasket?

I would say all fiberglass areas get waxed just like the hull except for the non skid. I would use Woody Wax on that. For the metal maybe Collinite Metal Wax? No clue on the gasket.

    228 head portable

My 228 has both options (factory y-valve). I've never used the pump out, but I have used the macerator function several times when way offshore with ladies. They wouldn't be keen on the idea of pooping in a bucket or hanging it off the side.

Gas Shock Spring Brackets Hatch lids

I just replaced the gas tube shocks on my 228. Maybe I could help. What are your questions? You just need two brackets per lid and the right powered shock.

Location of Fuel Select Switch HELP!!

If it only has one fuel fill, my bet is that it only has one tank. I'm not even sure how it could have two tanks with just one fill.

Seafarer Livewell Gas Strut..Where to Buy???

L.R., sorry, I was thinking about a 228 like mine. Yours is probably 10 inches long (from center post to center post). I replaced those as well. As I said, I went with 55lbs of lift which works well, but you could get away with something a bit lighter (they cost the same). With 55lbs, the lid...

Seafarer Livewell Gas Strut..Where to Buy???

I replaced all three of my stainless steel struts recently. I got them from Maxum Hardware. I went with the 55lb lift. Might be a hair much for the fish boxes, but seems just right for the live well. I think they ran a little over $40 each. They were made by Ameritool too. Your live well must...

    1996 Seafarer - 225 HP

I'm pretty sure the 1996 Seafarer was only rated for 250 (I know my 2004 was only rated for 250). My 225hp tows just fine. Does it sling you out of the hole? No. But it will get you up just fine.

Help looking for switch & breaker?

Replaced the live well pump and switch this weekend. It was a great time to teach my son how much "fun" boats are to work on. :)
