Pics from a few bottom bumbing trips

Gulf Snapper Yes Sir! Our Gulf snapper season is very short! Those Atlantic side snapper that you have really have a beautiful and brilliant color to them, much prettier than the ones over on this side. My best red snapper for this year was a 22# that I picked off a wreck. Appreciate your reply!

    Slow Day out of Appalachicola

Slow day in the Gulf. Lot of big thunderstorms over the water the last week. Finally got good enough to go Saturday 9/19/09. Grady buddy GW VOYAGER(REEL SELECTIVE) tagged along with JUMPNJACK on this one. Covered a lot of ground this day. Did manage to boat these two Cobia.(40" was 22# and 46"...

    Leaking window 1990 Gulfstream

Hey 'dude! I replaced the front windows in my 87' Saifish last winter and I too had the same issue with the shortened seals. I got them limbered back up and reused them. I masked off the empty spaces(the corners) and as you say "tooled in" high grade black silicone for a nice finish which has...

    Look what my friend caught...

That's a fine one! Yes Sir! That is one nice Drum! Catching that one on 15# test makes for a very memorable fish story! Back during the month of May, my first mate "One Eyed John" and I were drifting out of East Pass between St. George Island and Dog Island Florida and found ourselves in a mass...

Fixer Up! Hey Buddy! Like they say, if it is a sound hull and you have the ability go for it! I bought an older Grady that was a victim of neglect and after pouring a bunch of TLC into her I wound up with a pure old Fish Killer! For that price I would say it's certainly worth a shot! As far as...

THE NEW GUY WITH A 1982 226 seafarer

Wood is good! Young man you seem to have a great attitude. My old Saifish is loaded with teak. I have refinished most of all it. Also I added a lot of extra wood here and there. I replaced the old gunwale pads in the rear with wood. My bow pulpit is teak (came from Grady that way) and the full...

THE NEW GUY WITH A 1982 226 seafarer

My Old Grady She may be an "Oldie" but no doubt she is a "Goodie"! My '87 Sailfish has been around too. No substitute for experience! I know that you will love her!

    Finally I'm a Grady owner!

Love my Grady! I too love my Grady! My 254 was a New York City girl! Used to be named the "SEVENSHES". Any one up that way remember her? She is now the pride and joy of a "Florida Boy"! Congratulations and welcome to the wonderful world of Gradys!

Is the 232 too big to trail with half ton truck?

Half Ton Truck? I routinely pull my 254 Sailfish (about every other weekend) from Chattahoochee FL to Appalachicola FL a distance of 97 miles one way. My Sailfish weighs about 5500 pounds plus 125 gallons of fuel (another 750 pounds) 25 gallons of fresh water(another 200 pounds) 10 to 15 rods...

Fishing off of Cape San Blas - Port St. Joe Fl

Just thought I would let you know that I have fished the areas that you fished off San Blas. I usually fish more to the southeast. On a recent visit to the historic Mica(sunk by a German submarine during WWII) after a couple of trolling passes to scope out the bottom, we made a drift over her...

    GPS

I installed the Lowrance LMS 525C DF about a year ago keeping an older LMS 160 as a backup. The 160 still functions perfectly and I love the 525 as it always helps me and my 1987 254 Sailfish come home with a full fish box. From all the post it appears that the Garmins are probably the way to go.
