    You might try Brait, which is really flexible, takes up less space (room for lots more rode), and is very strong with great energy absorption allowing for a smaller diameter in many cases. I have 600' of 3/8" Brait which I spliced directly to the anchor chain. Easy to do and I'm very happy...

    I've wrestled with the same issue for a couple of years (on and off of course). Just replacing the OEM hose with a longer version isn't easy because of the unique fitting on the handle end. I tried joining a new section to the OEM section but never could get the internal joiner fitting...

    So whats the deal with renaming a boat?

    I've been around boats a pretty good while and believe that only wooden boats cause problems when renamed. Modern Gradys can be renamed at will without any fanfare.
