    300 Or 350's On a Marlin?

I got a 2017 Marlin this spring. The 300s are a big jump from the 225s on my 2004 Marlin. I can't see any reason to spend the extra money on 350s, including servicing costs. You will LOVE the new Marlin. There are some great improvements including painted aluminum, taller windshield, brighter...

Does the new 325 mean the end of the Marlin?

DCs are definitely the rage these days. I don't know if anyone stocks a 300. Mine was made to order. They told me at the plant they make around 20 per year these days. I also learned from my dealer that the 370 and 375 were near impossible to get this year. They sold out early and cannot make...

Does the new 325 mean the end of the Marlin?

I've seen one on the net installed on a 330. Maybe they will offer it on the new 32.

Does the new 325 mean the end of the Marlin?

Just bought a 2017 Marlin and absolutely love it. GW made some nice improvements over the years but the basic design is the same. The 32 was a bit of a surprise since it seems so close to the 307 but apparently DCs are the rage and GW seems to fill just about every possible size. Watch for a GW...

Video on the Updated Marlin 300

I took the advice of my installer who is very much a Furuno guy. We went with a 1k flush mount tilted element at 20 degrees. Same with the smart sensor. Have not been offshore yet but it all works great in the sounds. Also went with new x-class 6kw radar which is amazing. The most exciting...

Video on the Updated Marlin 300

Love my new 2017 Marlin! I'll post some pix when time permits. I have an ICOM VHF and the rest is Furuno. Twin 14" touch screens, 2 RD33s, and autopilot. I also put 19' Lee side mount riggers on her like my 2004 had. The updates are really nice/ I especially like the command elite helm chairs...

    Transom doors and tackle storage

There are after market companies that make those sorts of things. Try searching for starboard and marine fabricators. There are several here in NC.

Sell me on a Marlin vs 305 Express

You will love the Marlin. I find it easier to dock than my 272. The engines are further apart and the weight makes it move slower. The time it is tough is in a strong cross wind. Just use plenty of reverse when spinning into the wind.

    Opinions on 2017 235 vs 255

The 235 is a new model and has the latest GW innovations. I saw hull #1 and it is very nice. The 255 weighs about 500# more which will likely give it a slight edge in ride. Close call. I would get on both and rate feature, ride, price. Hard to go wrong!

Sell me on a Marlin vs 305 Express

Speaking of updates to the Marlin...I had a chance to crawl on mine in the rigging shop over the weekend. Here is a list of just what I noticed. I don't know what year each change was introduced. o SS cupholders o SS latches on livewell and tackle station o SS cockpit drains o removable hatch...

Sell me on a Marlin vs 305 Express

Our second Marlin will be delivered near the end of the month. I looked hard at the 305 when it first came out but still prefer the layout of the 300. My reasons: o 300 has longer cockpit o no windows in 305 cabin o helm access is tight on 305 due to center helm o can't reach hardtop rocket...

    Shout out to GW!

Thanks Danny. We are touring the factory on 2/24. Our boat will be in production that week. From what I can tell, there is more SS where there used to be plastic, all of the aluminum on the hardtop is now painted white, the top half of the cabin door and the radio boxes look to be fiberglass...

    Shout out to GW!

I haven't posted this yet as I have been really busy with work and other things. Megabytes has a contract and going to a great new home up the coast in NC. We had a great 13 year run and I will miss her... ...that is until Megabytes III arrives in the spring! Yep, new Marlin 300 is on the way...

Looking for info on Marlin and 305 express

I may be selling my 2004 Marlin in the near future. It is loaded and in great condition. I totally love the boat and am planning to get another one.

    282 sailfish

The euro-style transom started in the mid-90s IIRC. It made the running surface longer and wider. Some don't like them but most of the boats went that direction. I personally love that style.

Looking for Your Opinion on Next Grady

    1. Smoky is 100% correct. You absolutely can deduct the interest if those 3 requirements are meant. You can google to find the IRS page on second home. 2. I will be selling a fully loaded 2004 Marlin in the not too distant future (when my rental boat slip sells). It is a wonderful boat. My...
