    Constant radio power 208 adventure

Sounds like stereo.... There's a bilge pump foward (under cabin floor of my 226). I would run a fused 16gauge wire from it to the radio. It's a very, very low draw to keep the memory in a car stereo. If the boat is winterized out of the water, you should unhook or pull the batteries anyway.

    where/how to store spare prop?

Don't know where to mount a whole box. Yamaha makes a soft "prop case" that looks like a cone shaped soft sided cooler. That would do the trick and it's about $45. What would be cool is a prop "mount". Like a prop shaft and you can bolt to something and hang the prop on it. The prop doesn't...

Flush mount electronics on a 226?

After spending some time at West Marine playing with the SIMRAD NSS8 and the Garmin 740s.... I really love the NSS-8. I know it's twice the price, has a bunch of stuff I'll never need, but the quality feel won me over. Being a military pilot, I can appreciate a milspec feeling console vs a...

    where/how to store spare prop?

Sure, but sea tow has a few hour wait and the day of boating is over. Rather have a spare prop. Like having a spare tire....

Where to get stainless cabin door lock/latches?

Installed them today. Perfect replacement. Thank you guys. I couldn't believe the cheapness on the plastic latches. The stainless ones were well worth the $90!

    where/how to store spare prop?

No, not yet. I did a few prop changes dockside on my old boat. It's more of an emergency measure to get back home if I lose a blade in the river. LOTS of junk in the Potomac river. Big thing is not drop anything and to stay afloat holding the prop.

    where/how to store spare prop?

My boat came with the origional prop as a spare- what's the best way to keep it in the boat? I'm thinking in one of the storage areas under the cabin cushions. How do I keep the prop from doing any damage? I'm thinking about wrapping a couple towels around it, then storing enough of those...

Flush mount electronics on a 226?

I've been actively researching this over at the thehulltruth forum. My latest plan to get the new Garmin echomap 70s when it comes out, put that on the left, and a standard horizon GX2150 AIS enabled VHF radio on the right. For audio, I'm got a Clarion CDS-1 which has a small 3x5 control panel...

Anyone use those slick guides on their bunk trailers

I think you're talking about "king starboard" bunk sliders. No personal experience with them though. Bottom left picture: http://www.finaddictmarine.com/id8.html

Where to get stainless cabin door lock/latches?

Score! Thank you! The plastic ones can be opened with a quick pull even when locked.

Where to get stainless cabin door lock/latches?

My '01 226 has cheasy black plastic locking lift ring latches for the black plexi cabin door lid. Prior owner said newer gradys have stainless versions. I found the company that makes them, but there are a zillion part numbers. Anyone know what I need?
